Hello!! I just realised I haven’t updated my profile since I joined 3 years ago so I thought I would rewrite it from scratch!

I’m Charlie I’m 20 from south London. I’m nonbinary and use he/they pronouns. I’m queer and autistic and my identity is very important to me. I have a 11-year-old doggo called Mickey and a 2-year-old cat called Rey. I’m one of those people who love animals more than humans!! I struggle a lot with my mental health but I’m proud to say I’m nearly 18months hospital free. Crafting has really helped get me through and I probably wouldn’t be here without it.

I started pen palling in lockdown as a way to meet some new people and I have been writing ever since. Through pen palling I fell in love with crafting and now I try everything I can get my hands on. Some of my favourite crafts are papercraft, crochet, embroidery, sewing, cross stitch, and bookbinding to name a few but I’m always interested in learning new crafts (ive just ordered a model greenhouse kit)

I think another important thing to note is that I am dyslexic, I am so sorry if I spell something wrong I really a trying my best!!

In terms of swapping, I’m very relaxed, if you have to send it late it’s okay! just drop me a message to let me know :) I’m not one of those people who scrutinise postmarks. I very very rarely rate down and on the odd occasion it has been because there was 0 communication. I also pretty much always give hearts because I well and truly love everything I receive. Just knowing that someone has gone to the effort to send me something is enough I don’t care about loads of extras the thought really is what matters to me. If you have a problem with one of my swaps please message me, I am very willing to resend and do what I can’t to fix the issue.

Another important note is the postal system. Recently the postal system in the UK has been a shambles, lots of strikes, damaged letters, missing letters. This is out of my control, if you have a issue please message me and I will do what I can to resolve it!

I am really not fussy when it comes to things, I like to receive I can almost always find a use for everything!! I will pop a Wishlist at the bottom as I know it can be easier when you have a guide but please do not feel like you have to send me something from it I really am good with most things!

In august 2022 I was gifted a sewing machine and have since learnt to sew! I’m still a beginner but I’m really enjoying it! If anyone has any fabric squares (for patchwork), fat quarters, patterns (ideally men’s or kids) or even just some tips I would love to receive them. I recently got sent a pack of fabric squares from a penal so I turned it into a patchwork pencil case for her!

i saw one of my partners didn't have a dislike list and i loved this idea so much honestly i am always so happy with everything i receive. If i receive something i have no use for i just pass it on to someone else! here are just a few things that i don't really have a use for but of course if you have nothing else to send im still grateful for it :) - tea/coffee sticky notes - napkins - metal dies - religious items - food - things with phrases such as 'you go girl' i am non binary and do not identify as female so these sorts of phrases make me a tad uncomfortable, -anything racist/transphobic/sexist ect

I am allergic to egg so if possible please avoid sending me something that contains egg

-anything vintage themed - this is my current favourite theme for pen palling so anything vintage would be super useful I particular love old pages from diary's/notebooks the earliest one i have collected is from 1929!!
