I live in San Diego, California. I'm 26, I love going to concerts and especially screaming my face off at concerts. I'm of Cajun French and Irish (Clan Fitzpatrick) heritage. I have a pair of rex rats, Cheech and Chong. I'm a liberal, a Glambert, a Potterhead, and I love classic rock. I'm opinionated and I love to debate, but I hate to lose a debate. ^-^
I RATE PROMPTLY AND FAIRLY.
POP: Adam Lambert, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, and any given song that catches my attention.
ROCK: Cream, the Kinks, Neil Young, CSNY, Deep Purple, Muse, the Moody Blues, the Scorpions, Santana, Led Zeppelin, REM, Lenny Kravitz, Bob Dylan, and a multitude of others...
CLASSICAL: Saint-Saëns and Beethoven, especially.
GUILTY PLEASURE: God forgive me... Enya. (My friends make no end of fun of me but, I'm sorry, her music just moves me.)
FICTION: Harry Potter series (J. K. Rowling), Hitchhiker's Guide series (Douglas Adams), To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), Gone With the Wind (Margaret Mitchell), Timeline (Michael Crichton), Time Enough For Love (Robert Heinlein), The Silence of the Lambs (Thomas Harris), Sherlock Holmes series (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle), The Green Mile (Stephen King), Watership Down (Richard Adams), Shogun (James Clavell), etc.
NON-FICTION: In Cold Blood (Truman Capote), The Gift of Fear (Gavin De Becker), The Sociopath Next Door (Martha Stout), the James Herriot (Alfred Wight) autobiography series (beginning with All Creatures Great and Small), the Frank McCourt autobiography series (beginning with Angela's Ashes), the Diary of Anne Frank.
SHORT FICTION: Poe, especially The Cask of Amontillado.
POETRY: Dylan and Poe.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975, Terry Gilliam and Terry Jones), Sweeney Todd (2007, Tim Burton), Inglourious Basterds (2009, Quentin Tarantino), The Fifth Element (1997, Luc Besson), Doubt (2009, John Patrick Shanley), The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009, Terry Gilliam), Ratatouille (2007, Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava), The Princess Bride (1987, Rob Reiner), Fight Club (1999, David Fincher), Moon (2009, Duncan Jones), Religulous (2008, Larry Charles), Howl's Moving Castle (2004, Hayao Miyazaki), The Dark Crystal (1982, Jim Henson and Frank Oz), etc.
Family Guy, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mythbusters, MSNBC, and I've recently become very enamored with The Voice.
Crochet. I'm an advanced and occasionally competitive crocheter. I love to work in thread and I avoid old-fashioned patterns and uses. I can knit some but I don't particularly enjoy it.
I also like anything simple enough and novel (but not too frivolous) and making accessories. Right now I'm a little obsessed with hair accessories but I also rotate through hat, scarf, and purse phases.
I generally go for glam/goth. I love black combined with jewel tones, especially deep red and purple. I collect dragons and almost always wear one or more on my person, usually as jewelry. Black lace, leather, and glitter make my world turn. I never leave the house without eyeliner.
In summertime, for some reason, I tend to go for bright colors and flowers.
NOTE: I include this not because I expect anyone to actually buy anything from this list, but because it'll give you an idea of my tastes and, hopefully, inspiration.
Note: Exempting nondenominational spiritual symbols like the taiji, pentagram, etc.
I don't smoke and I don't have uncaged pets, but I don't mind pet hair or smoke. Heck, a little pet hair adds character and I know how to get rid of smoke smell. Fragrances are fine, too.
Recycled items, even broken, are fine if they still have usable components. (To me, a bra that's falling apart is still worth its hooks.) I'm a master repurposer and I've made some pretty cool stuff out of old things. (I once made a purse out of 100% repurposed components. It's made from a t-shirt that I found at my grandma's house that shrunk all kinds of horrible ways. I dyed it by washing it with every purple thing I owned and even sewed it with recycled thread. I've gotten many compliments on it.)
Also, to me, inexpensive is not synonymous with cheesy. Oh, sure, you can find a lot of ghastly crap in a dollar store, but knowing how to find the goodies? That's an art. I'm the kind of person who can walk into a discount store my rich friends wouldn't even look at, and walk out with something they want. I recently got a brand new designer purse for $3 and had a friend offer me $40 for it. (She didn't get it!) There are two meanings of the word "cheap," and only one of them is bad.
So if it's hairy, smokey, broken, old, or cheap, that's okay by me as long as I can still make it cool, because cool is all that matters to me. Labels are nothing but something to be cut off.

Thank you for the sweet and thoughtful comment on my profile regarding the Wallpaper swap. I believe the angeling w/o having to would be called, going the extra mile. I always try to do my best in whatever I do. I believe that doing your best in whatever you do always is the best policy.
There's nothing wrong with Enya. : )
