my name is alexis, and i'm from a small town in romania - situated near the carpathian mountains. looking forward to meeting everyone from here!!! 😃

our postal service can be really unpredictable and slow. i mark things SENT as soon as i drop them in the mailbox. the post office i go to collects mail from monday through friday at 3 PM - usually i try to be quick and send before that hour, but if i can't, then the mail will be postmarked the next day/week (if i send on friday).

when things are collected from the mailbox is out of my hands, and i can't control that. my mail can reach their destinations in a couple weeks or even a few months... please be patient! feel free to message me if there are any issues. i'm always happy to resend ❤️

I LOVE charlie and the chocolate factory (i've watched the new wonka movie about 10 times already!) and minions!

i appreciate anything DIY, handmade, recycled and reused. i've recently fallen in love with food cardboard package postcards! i LOVE astronomy 🌌🪐 my favorite planet is jupiter. tell me what you love about space, if you see any stars at night, what your favorite planet is... :)

i listen to a lot of music and i'm always looking forward to hearing new songs - my favorite artists are Taylor Swift and BTS/SHINee. i love K-POP a lot 🤩 in my free time i like watching movies, and my favorite tv shows are South Park, Garfield and Peanuts! i also like 2000s Nickelodeon shows, i was a nickelodeon child growing up :)

i like winter time (not just because of christmas, hahaha!), nature, hamsters, bugs (beetles, ladybugs) and fishes 🐟 there is not a single fish or insect that i don't like!

i enjoy discovering new things about our world in general. i am very, very interested in turkish culture, and i would like to learn the language and more about the country.

anything silly/weird/kitsch, glittery stuff, textures and patterns (circles are my favorites), making collages. i collect lots of scrap papers/stub tickets/receipts for my junk journals. did a recent project and you don't know what to do with all of the scraps? made a spread in your journal and you don't want to throw all of the loose papers away? have a receipt from a grocery store trip? feel free to pop them in an envelope and send them to me, no matter how small the scraps i will cherish them all :)

my favorite colors are brown, yellow, orange and purple. but i also love neons and silver/gold/magenta 🤎💜💛

stickers & washi tapes are also some things i like. (i'd really love to have more yellow washi tape, as i can never find any!) i also paint, and sometimes i experiment with stamp carving. i like receiving and sending postcards too

and, as i've said, i love anything reused and recycled, so i enjoy making my own no-sew junk journals with envelopes from bills, magazines, info cards and other junk mail. i would like to also learn how to make my own paper one day :)

i love letters, handwritten or not. i enjoy penpalling and connecting with people, i really love all of the letter swaps on here and i always try to join them... i think there's some sort of magic in writing, and i appreciate the slow communication sending letters comes with in this fast paced world.

overall, i'm just looking forward to discovering more about the people on this site. i appreciate receiving swaps which show a little bit about you, discovering people through their mail...
