Hello! :)

My name is Angela, I am 40 years old and I live in Canada. I am kind of a daydreamer, and I love to read and journal. I love books, I think they're beautiful. So much art goes into a book when you think about the cover, the paper used, the font for the title and the text, even the weight of a book makes me happy. I work in a bookstore, which is the perfect place for me! I love helping people find books, and I love discovering new books, too.

I really love nature, I am constantly amazed and awed by this beautiful world that we live in. Just listening to the wind blowing through the trees can calm my soul and soothe my nerves. I love water, rivers, lakes, ponds, oceans, it doesn't matter, I love them all.

I also love the rain, and thunderstorms. I have a deep fondness for forests and trees, they seem so wise and protective. Trees have always been important to me, I spent a lot of time climbing them, sitting in their branches and telling them my secrets when I was younger. I don't think I could stand it if I had to live without many trees nearby.

I love birds, especially ravens, crows, owls and woodpeckers. The northern flicker is a particular favorite of mine, they are such beautiful birds. I also love all of the little songbirds that come to my bird feeder.

I love the moon, and the night sky although I am more of a morning person than a night owl. I love to see the sun rise, and I love the freshness of a new day. I love my days off, when I have no plans and can spend the morning moving slowly and soaking in the quiet, sipping a coffee and looking out the window.

I love art of all kinds, calligraphy, unique lettering, typography, song lyrics, poems, and quotes. I really love watercolours, they seem to make the most beautiful art!

I am a big fan of collage, I still like to cut pictures out of magazines and save pretty scraps of wrapping paper. I like to buy old books with pretty or cute illustrations so that I can cut them out and use them. I love old stamps or stamps with birds or flowers on them.

I take my mail very seriously and I don't take on swaps lightly. If I sign up I will follow through, always. I really want you to like what I send, and I always put care and thought into my mail. I hope that you will do the same.

I am also a mom and a wife, I have been married for 21 years and my husband is also my best friend. I have two lovely daughters that are nearly adults now! Family has always been important to me, and I am still very close to my parents and my siblings.

Anything by Nicholas Evans (not to be confused with Nicholas Sparks, who I dislike intensely.)

Books by Rainbow Rowell, I will read anything she writes, same goes for Juliette Fay.

Poetry by Walt Whitman or Robert Frost.

I also love cookbooks, though I don’t do a lot of cooking these days.

A few of my favourite movies are: The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom... maybe I'll just say anything by Wes Anderson. :)

I also really like Terrence Malick, I really loved The New World.

My husband is very into films, so we love the Criterion channel and watch a lot of old movies.

I love pretty paper, stickers, and stationery. I like artistic postcards. I love to write letters, so anything related to letter writing is always welcome. I love pages from old books, especially if they have illustrations of plants, animals, or people, or poetry. I like to have interesting magazines to cut pictures out of. I loved flow magazine so much and I was so sad when they stopped doing the English version. I love stamps, I have a little collection going and I love to go to stamp shows. I love other people's art. I love handmade cards or postcards. I am a huge coffee lover, I also love chocolate. I love pressed flowers or leaves, and feathers as long as they are clean. I love images of birds, illustrations over photos. Handmade paper is also one of my favorite things and I’d love to learn to make my own one day. I love textures, string, yarn, lace, vellum envelopes or paper. I love words, writing, text. My favorite colors are green and blue, or anything in fairly natural tones. Anything related to trees or forests makes me so happy!
