I love traveling! Historical places, beaches, mountains are my favorite places to visit. I love 'mining' for gems.
Quiet mornings with my coffee or tea are very important to me.
I like spending time outdoors! I love working In my flower garden (container garden), knitting, crocheting and sewing. I am a transplant from Louisiana to Virginia and love my Cajun background. I have a dog named Alex. He is a full blood Beagle? And SADIE yorkie. My husband is retired Navy. He is a sweetheart! I love collecting SNOWMAN and ROOSTERS for my home. I love long walks on the beach.
I enjoy playing around with photography (one of my pics on my avatar). I enjoy reading "self-help" books, or anthing positive and uplifting! I like going thrift store shopping...and finding all sorts of goodies. I love trying all sorts of gourmet coffees and teas. I also love having an asortment of flavored creamors available. I must say I am a bath & body lover. Shop for nice body sprays (toooo) often, but love the way the scents seem to rejuvinate, or relax me! I also use scented handcream all day at work...seems to lift my spirits during a long day! Candles! Oh Yah..I love candles that smell fruity, woodsy, or just plain o'le clean!
I enjoy self-help books. Anything with a positive outlook. I also enjoy my house decorating magazines. I am a huge fan of Martha Stewart. I also like to read about gardening, how to's...and how to use my garden in flower arranging. Any organization books I also enjoy.
My favorite color is Blue. I also like a yellow mixed in sometimes for brightness. Purples/Lavendars. Burgundy and gold are also colors I have used in my home's decorating theme.(Because of my roosters!)
I am a journaling freak! I love keeping journals on everything from my gardening to...my personal life..and also my crafting! I like writing in my journals with different colored ink pens ...(blue, pink, green, purple ink) depending on the mood or goings on I'm journaling about!
I collect roosters and snowman. Vintage roosters preferred. I'm a knitter and crocheter...I love all types of yarn! I enjoy using different Scrapbooking methods, with stamps, stickers,Washi tapes, ect.
Empty note cards are great! I can use them in so many ways.
Colors/Designs that I like:
Botanical Anything with roosters Vintage country Angels
Lavendar, Vanilla, Rose, Woodsy scents, Violets, Fresh brewed Coffee. Chi teas.
In a tub full of bubbles with a relaxing scent! In the Mountains (I like the peacefullness and beauty of nature). Long walks on the beach! (looking for sea shells and whatnots as I go). In the Bayous of Louisiana (love the mossy trees and scent of the outdoors). Sitting in my backyard flower garden with a good book and a nice cup of coffee. Walking in our city park with my dog, Alex and my hubby.

Yay for jewelry and bangles! I joined! Thanks for thinking of me! :)
I am doing pretty well, but Louisiana, on the other hand, is doing... well, especially hot and rainy. But at least it's not a hurricane!
Hi! I saw your username in the forums and just wanted to say that I am from LA, too! I'm currently attending UL in Lafayette. It's nice to see someone else from Louisiana. :)
Do you buy candles at a local place? We have a really nice candle store here. I can't get enough of 'em. They have a really cool pond in the middle of one of their rooms.
I am originally from Oberlin. Not sure if you heard of it but it's about 50 miles or so north of Lake Charles in Allen Parish.
I saw you on the forums and your name caught my eye!! I am a Cajun also! 100% transplanted to Alabama in 1992!! and something that made me giggle...I have a son named Alex!
So sorry bayougrl! I wanted to sign up in your swap but I couldn't to join in that moment and... it closed so early!
