I'm a retired art teacher and love to draw, postcards, any kind of needlework and quilting. I love recycling & creating.Love making visual journals. I'm a widow and live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia . I have an English garden and Vetg. garden during the summer. I love working in the soil and I love being out doors. I love all types of flowers. I have 3 grown children & 5 grandsons. I I have 3 great grandsons.and 4 great grand daughters. My favorite color is blue. My sister & I are working on a special quilt about all the soldiers in our family, starting with the colonial militia to date. I also love writing poetry. My twin sister moved in with me and she too is on Swap Bot (pynart2) .

.I've really enjoyed being apart of Swap Bot and I try to send out the swaps a few days after I receive my partners names. So if you don't receive one from me, please let me know so that I can resend. I take my rating very seriously, because I try and send out what I would like to receive. I don't like flakers...when someone is late just let me know...life can get in the way of creativity, but not to answer an e-mail is just plain ...not nice.

I grew up with a singer father and a mother who played the piano. So I love thirties & forties music. But I love soft jazz, piano music, some opera and definitely country. I love to listen to Easy Listening music on TV. And I love to dance. Someof my favorite songs are: My Melancholy Baby, When I Fall In Love, As Time Goes By,Three Times A Lady, Dream Alittle Dream of Me, Wrapped Up In You, Besame Mucho, Monday, Monday, Walking After Midnight, "409" and Ole Red. I love all types and the list is longer, but this will give you an idea.

I love reading most genre. Favorite books are - The Bible, The Red Tent, Babiyar, Night, The Notebook, French Women For All Seasons, Under The Tuscan Sun, Mutant Message Down Under, The Red Badge of Courage, The Last Lecture and most Mysteries. I read 50 books plus a year so there are to many to list.

I like Romantic movies- Sleepless In Seattle, Notting Hill, An Officer An A Gentleman, Brigette Jones Diary etc.. But I also enjoy other types like Out Of Africa, Gorillas In The Mist, The Note Book, The Last Emperor, The Sound Of Music etc I guess I like all types. How could I forget Harry Potter & Indiana Jones. Dahhh!

I recently cut the cord to my Comcast and now have Roku and I just love it. Some of my Netflix favorites are Ms. Fischer Mysteries, Call the Midwives, Father Brown Mysteries , The Crown and many others.

I like creating. I love all kinds of needle work, crocheting, embroidering, quilting (all types).& sewing. I love to draw, & paint. I make my own cards, , envelopes & Postcards. I"ve found a whole new world in Journaling and I'm just loving it.. My newest adventure is making Kwandi quilts and Pojagi Korean hand work.
