About Me

Hi my name is Lee Ann & I am from a small community in Missouri named Cedar HIll, outside of St. Louis. I love to try all kinds of crafting, I use to only do cross stitch then I found out what all is out there & I am hooked. I love scrap-booking & I am learning to sew a little here & there. I moved from a house to an apartment recently so I am finding some new organizational strategies - if you have some to share I am all ears.

On the personal level I was raised in Missouri & lived in Colorado for a time as a child. I left MO after high school to join the Air Force. While in the Air Force I got to visit Mississippi, California, & a few other places. I got married then I got divorced & have since visited or lived in other places such as New Mexico, Texas, New Orleans, Florida & Oklahoma. My favorite, at least so far in the US is New Mexico. I love the culture & the customs & being so close to all that it offers. I moved back to Missouri in 2006 to be closer to family. I have a Chihuahua named Sydney, she gets in your face once she is used to you & has to be a part of everything.

I am always looking for new ideas & would love to have some email pin pals, both in the US & outside. I love history & hearing the stories about where you live & other things. I have been to the Southwest & West coast of the USA but never to the east coast or overseas & would love to see some pictures & swap ideas.

Some of my favorite colors are dark green, dark red, terra cotta, jewel & earth tones mainly. I like to receive anything scapbook, would love to try stain glass & would like some stain glass patterns, any type of craft books or magazines - except knitting / crochet - I have done crochet & while it looks great its just not something that I really like to do. I am learning to make quilt block so am looking for quilt patterns. I love to take patterns from other items & use them for something other than what they were designed for. In cross stitch I usually take a piece from one pattern & mix it with other pieces to come up with a whole picture. I like making Christmas ornaments out of unusual stuff - I recently found some made out of the seams from old blue jeans. There is just so much out there that I want to try I get overwhelmed.

My dream vacation would be to go to Ireland, so if there is anyone from Ireland that would like to be pin pals that would be great.

I recently got into the PC swaps & am loving it. I really enjoy getting snail mail of any kind. I am open to any kind of postcard but really prefer ones that shows something about where you live, a tourist site or historica item. I am very curiuos about other countries, how they live, what its like at different times of the year, etc. Not much into the animal PC. Show me something special about your country or state & I am happy. An update to the PC collecting, I still love anything that you send but would like to start getting the state & country postcards, right now I have:

Missouri
California
Australia North Carolina
Utah Kansas

so if this is something that is readily available would love to get them all, I will update this as I receive new ones.

I like coffee of any kind but am not as much a tea person. I don't like coconut, anchovies, onions.

Hope this gives everyone a fairly good look at who I am, if you end up being my partner in a swap & have any questions please feel free to send me a message.

Everyone have a great day & feel free to drop me a line.

Happy crafting & swapping.

Comment: I got married in Tulsa in 1988, and went to St Louis for my honeymoon, mainly to see the Arch, I now wished, I had seen the cathedral. Beautiful. St Louis did give me my love for statues, and waterfountains though. THanks.

Comment: Thank you for your lovely postcard of the St Louis Science Centre. I was in St Louis on March 11 this year, but only for a 1 hour stop over on the Amtrak train on my way from Chicago through to staying with my cousin in Houston. I was happy to see the St Louis arch as we passed through.

Hey LeAnn, I am one of your partners for Read my profile and leave a nice comment 2. My name is Pam and I am from Louisiana. (the north part) I do enjoy visiting New Orleans sometimes though. I have a sister that lives in Baton Rouge but don't get to go very often. I think being a wedding and party coordinator is wonderful. I have always been interested in doing that but just have not figured out how to get started. Maybe you can pm me with some advice if you would like. I have 2 daughters that are married and I planned and decorated for their weddings and they turned our really good if I do say so myself. I enjoy being in charge of things. Best wishes to you and God Bless you. I enjoyed your profile.

I LOVE Sydneys comment! "All Power to packrats, we are always prepared!" I soooo want a sign that says that to hang in my office/craft room/MESS.

Hi Lee Ann- I'm one of your partners for the "read my profile" swap. You'll love it here, there are so many creative people with lots of great ideas and inspiration. I'm like you, want to do everything and not enough time in the day. I also have a chihuahua- Mae B., who once she gets to know you she's like velcro. Your book wreath sounds intreguing- I hope you take a picture of it and put it on flickr or something, I'd love to see it! Happy Swapping, Liz

Hello Lee Ann, Welcome to the wonderful world of Swap Bot. I am still a newbie myself and have really enjoyed my time here. I love your business name. I use to do the same thing (only do it now for family or friends) and I know how hard you have to work. I wish you the very best and hope you don't find those monster brides. We need to get together through email sometime because I have tons of ideas I am willing to share that I have used myself in weddings to save $.

I can so understand wanting more time to craft because I would do it 24 hours a day. I am like you I find to many ideas on the interent and so little time with work and family.

I think it is great that you joined the Air Force. It is people like you that each one of us should thank from the bottom of our heart. You gave your all to protect the country we hold dear. I know you don't hear it enough so I would like to say ......Many thanks for your sincere dedication and your part in preserving this great nation.

It has been great reading your profile and I am glad that the Read My Profile and Leave a Nice Comment #2!! swap sent me here.

Wishing you the best.

It can be a challenge sometimes but it's fun. Your right on the brides some of them are pretty scary. It's fun to see it all come together & run smoothly, of course that's the view once its done & I have the time to look back on it. I just have to laugh at some of the situations that arrise.

Take care

Hi Lee Ann,

Wow, wedding day co ordination, how do you cope with that? I used to do wedding photography and now have a fear of bridesmaids, give a girl a bouquet and she turns rabid. Lol.

All power to packrats, we are always prepared. Hugs to Sydney,

Best Wishes from New Zealand
