I have worked at a University for over 20 years as a Graphic Designer. My first computer was an Apple. My first office job was at a suburban newspaper. My very first job was as a day-care worker in the two-year old's room. I attend a Unitarian Universalist church in Atlanta. I have two grown sons 23 and 22. The youngest has autism. I hope to use Swapbot to stimulate me creatively. I've attempted doing "The Artist's Way" several times and haven't finished it yet.
I like all types of music. My favorite often depends on my mood. I always enjoy what is classified as Alt-Country, Alt-Folk and Americana. I love Lucinda Williams.
Is this favorite books of all time or what I'm reading presently? At present, I enjoy an author that I wasn't aware of before. She is fairly prolific. Her name is Elizabeth Berg. I was introduced to her through her best selling book of essays, "The Day I Ate Everything I Wanted". After reading it, I explored her other writings and have now completely depleted the works. I am also reading the second book in the Sookie Stackhouse series that the HBO series "True Blood" is based on. Alice Hoffman's writings are something that I have recently discovered and have just finished "Skylight Confessions" after reading "The Third Angel."
HBO's "Six Feet Under" Now enjoying "True Blood" produced by the same producer/director -- Alan Ball I also am a fan of "Mad Men" and look forward to it's third season. Boston Legal Those are a few.
I like all types of crafts. I like to write poetry--particularly haiku. I want to start back doing some sewing this year and am interested in quilting as an art form. I am also pretty proficient at crochet, learned string by doing Christmas ornaments to give for gifts, but haven't done it recently.
My favorite movie of all time is "Auntie Mame." I recently read that Scarlett Johansson also adores this movie. http://www.observer.com/2008/did-auntie-mame-fanatic-scarlett-johansson-buy-2-1-m-penthouse-greenhouse
Love Pablo Neruda and the movie "Il Postino"
