Hello! I'm a British female engineer and I'm curious about everything.

I really enjoy post and getting home to find something exciting or pretty waiting for me! It can make a bad day so much better to receive a lovely letter or gift, especially something handmade with love :)

I do have depression but I'm careful not to take on too much so I hope it will never impact my swapping even if life gets tough some days...

I love travelling to new places, I have a long list of places I'd like to go - some local places for days out and some places I might never see, but I can dream :)

I really enjoy creating things and making things look pretty. My current projects are dressmaking, quilting, making postcards and ATCs, and watercolour painting.

I also love just watching beautiful views, sunsets, the stars, and getting to the middle of nowhere and just stopping to be alive :) I like to go out hill walking to see the views.

A few more specific things I like include: typography/ quotes, tarot, sewing, reading, Studio Ghibli, maps, art and museums.

I'd love to swap foreign sewing or quilting magazines, if anyone would like to trade :)

☹ I'd prefer NOT to receive tourist multi-view cards, or anything with photos of food, thank you! ☹

✉ I appreciate nice stamps but I'm not a collector.

✪ folded cards and postcards (I prefer my postcards written and stamped (naked) unless you think a delicate or handmade card needs more protection) - I'm happy to receive good quality homemade cards of any type of craft.

✪ any stationery supplies such as writing paper, letter sets, note cards, postcards, nice envelopes, washi tape, pretty pens, stickers... (please DON'T send little bits of paper/ ephemera etc., I just lose them before I can use them!) - anything related to Traveler's Company/ Traveler's notebooks (I use passport size)

✪ sewing supplies - sewing patterns (UK 18/ EU46/ US14), fabric, fastenings...

✪ anything Studio Ghibli (but I'm not interested in anime or cartoons),

✪ anything to do with maps or travel or post related, including airmail stickers,

✪ magnets - ideally showing a famous site or with a place name on,

✪ tea towels/ kitchen towels,

✪ pillow case or cushion cover,

✪ little decorations such as hanging crystals, signs, frames...

✪ anything Jane Austen,

✪ socks (UK size 6/ EU size 39) - any type, I love odd and mismatched socks, and bright colours and patterns :)

✪ little bags and pouches,

✪ scented soap, hand cream, bath salts/ bath bombs, nice body lotion or body butter - I prefer natural scents (floral/herbal etc. and particularly jasmine, rose, and geranium). Please don't send perfume samples, thank you,

✪ magazines or books or articles about crafts, especially sewing (in any language)

✪ hair ties and scrunchies

Favourite colours: ↣ deep sea blue/green, ↣ sage green, ↣ deep purple, ↣ metallic gold, ↣ petrol blue

✂ I really like rich coloured fabrics, geometric patterns and bright floral prints. I love Japanese fabrics! Please nothing too primary coloured or childish/ cartoons.

✂ Colours I particularly like are greens, blues and purples.

✂ I do a variety of sewing and quilting projects so any fabrics, haberdashery items and sewing supplies are welcome. Sewing patterns in size UK 18/ EU46/ US14 :)

✂ I'd love to receive sewing magazines, patterns or articles in any language!

✂ I learnt to make clothes for my toys when I was little, and I still make some things for me, but I'm struggling to find enough time at the moment...

✂ I've been quilting for a couple of years now. I like modern quilts and I don't have the patience for anything too fiddly! Currently enjoying FPP to make interesting blocks :)

I was raised Christian which has shaped a lot of my beliefs, but I feel that if there is something greater, it's probably just one thing that gets worshipped in many different ways, so I'm open to greetings from any religion.

Recently I've been trying to connect with the Wheel of the Year to mark the passage of time and have a closer relationship to nature and the world around me. I've been trying to create a little seasonal alter type space to reflect, and I'm open to receiving any information or guidance in this area while I explore.

I've also used Tarot cards on and off for years, and have several sets, I find it helps me to think on my problems.

If at all possible I would prefer not to receive these items -

❈ small bits of scrapbooking/ card making/ paper crafts/ mail art etc. - E.g. stamped images, bits of card, paper decoration/ ephemera, napkins etc. - I already have a lot of stuff and I struggle to keep track of/ use tiny bits

❈ Anything containing cashew nuts

❈ CDs - I no longer own a CD player. If you want to recommend music a link or details are fine.

❈ Cartoon patterned or children's items, including Disney, Minions etc.

❈ Diaries- I always end up with more than I can use!

❈ I don't celebrate Halloween, I'd prefer not to receive anything Halloween themed.

❈ Medical looking items e.g. novelty needle shaped items/ gory items or images / horror themed items

❈ Adult colouring items

❈ I don't much like food pictures/ patterns if that's the main focus of a postcard etc - unless it's in the swap description or part of an item to pass along
