I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have lived here for the past 12 years. Before that it was Southern CA so yes I am a California Native. I love to knit and I am into photography, scuba diving and when I was much younger I was a surfer! Now I am the mother of a 9 year old son and wife to my dear husband and I work ridicules hours at a semiconductor company where among other things I am a Hazmat responder. So with the bells and whistles sound I get to put on the space alien suit and go where the nasty gasses are leaking!

So my son and I love to collect all things firefighter. Since I train with them and spend a lot of time with them and my favorite hazmat instructor (Hi Darrel!! Like he would read this!) Gave my son his first real firefighter gear we can't get enough!

I am currently contemplating a way to integrate my knitting and my scuba diving. I have heard of underwater basket weaving why not underwater knitting? Why not I have learned how to take my camera underwater now, why not knit? (Yes I am a nut, yes I am kidding about the knitting underwater and no I am not kidding about the underwater photography.)

I live in an apartment in the suburbs so I don't get much nature but I do love camping in the summer.

I live about 20 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. I grew up 5 minutes from it. I am an ocean freak! I love the ocean and can't imagine living any further away from it than I do now! So sea shells are cool, especially if they are from an ocean other than the Pacific. I am a scuba diver so you can tell I love the water. Maybe that is why my favorite color is blue. Nautical stuff is really cool. (Also especially nautical things from other coastlines!!)

I love movies! Except horror and I am not a fan of stupid humor. (Monty Python and the like) Musicals are great and I love anything and everything from the sound of music to Die Hard although I am undecided about number 4....

I am a knitter mostly but I have a sewing maching and I know how to use it!

I was in the Marine Corps. I was a Sherriff's explorer. I was a Boy Scout. (Had do be because I was in the sherriff's explorer program.) I used to Repair weapons in the Military. I was in the Army Reserves. (Long Chauvinistic story!) I do research and development for a company that makes tools that make computer chips. I am a certified Hazmat Responder. My husband is 8 years younger than I am.

I love Christian fiction books. I am not a big fan of the romace style books. Mostly mystery and cop stories. I seem to eat them. I read so fast that the authors I love ( and there are quite a few of them! ) can never keep up!
