I'm a pediatrician living in southern Georgia. I'm a kid at heart--I may grow old, but I won't grow up! My husband is a graphic designer/digital painter. We have 2 cats--a calico named Sundae, and another partBengal named Weeble.
I have severe asthma. Please, if you are a smoker, clean items before you send them! Thanks!
I love music from the 30's and 40's--swing, big band. Bing Crosby's the best! We listen to a variety though. Just about anything but metal, rap/R&B, country-western. That said though, we do listen to bluegrass and old country, and I like some blues stuff. We like cover bands too--it's fun hearing familiar things done differently.
I'm a fantasy fanatic: Terry Pratchett, Mercedes Lackey, Anne McCaffrey's dragonriders. I also like mystery and children's classics--Trixie Belden, LM Montgomery (Ann of Green Gables, etc), Louisa May Alcott, and so on.
I'm addicted to it all!! I prefer fiber arts--I love embroidery and crazy quilt. I've also taught myself to knit and needletat. I'm going to learn needlefelting. I'm not big on paper stuff, but like making cards and want to try altered books. I'll actually try just about anything at least once! I guess mostly, I'm a technique collector.
Colors: anything blue Animals: cats Candy: jelly bellies, international candies not found in the US, good chocolate Drinks: Flavored coffees Collections: Dragons, nativity scenes/Madonna & Chile Flowers: Roses, especially yellow; wildflowers
I love old movies, especially musicals. White Christmas is my all-time fav, followed by Sleepless in Seattle, possibly because of the music. I watch some movies now, but don't have a lot of time/patience to sit. We watch anything superhero, Star Trek, and otherwise interesting.
The girls are picky. They only like cheap food from WalMart and won't eat treats. They're not excited by catnip either. Sundae has a foot fetish. Weeble like to chew cardboard, wrestle small stuffed animals, and chase they laser light. I don't know that they'll be swapping much...
There are some things I have plenty of
Beads and buttons--unless they're something really unique
Yarn--unless it's special, like something you hand-dyed
Jewelry--especially old pins and such--that can be incorporated whole or in parts in other projects
Unusual beads and buttons especially the specialty object ones
Unusual threads--handpainted, unusual fibers, etc
Vintage or unusual images that can be used as is or for inspiration sources (I do some scanning and print on fabric, or stitcheries)
