Hello! I'm a 30-ish woman living in South Florida with my husband (we just married December 6th, 2013 -- one day before our 11th anniversary), a tiny chihuahua named Butters, and my gorgeous, glittery bengal named Luna. We live on a canal and like to grow things, especially mangos and other tropical fruits. We currently have three mango trees in our backyard.
I love all things kawaii (think Kamio, Q-Lia, etc. -- but I'm not that crazy about most Sanrio), all things floral, sewing, fabric and trims, washi tape, sticker flakes, Jetoy, kokeshi and matryoshkas, paper goodies/ephemera, dolls (Blythe!), vintage Pyrex, traveling, postcards, stationery, anchors and nautical themes, fruit, and cooking good food (especially Indian, yum).
My kawaii likes include poo, food with faces, chihuahuas that are not photos of real dogs, fairy tales and Alice, cats, pandas, Usacolle, alpacas and sheep, stickers that look like postage stamps, strawberries, ghosts and skulls and anything Halloween-ish, anything with amigurumi or felted animals on it, hilarious engrish, um...I like a lot of stuff. Not that picky, honestly. Just not that crazy about most Sanrio -- but I do seriously love Deery-Lou and Sugarbunnies!
I like all the colors of the rainbow but love pink, mint, and anything neon or pastel the most. My favorite shape is a hexagon. I also love chevron, herringbone, faux bois patterns, and arrow motifs.
I love cats and deer. And chihuahuas too.
I am allergic to maple. Unfortunate, huh?
I enjoy foreign candies and snacks, but Florida is seriously hot. Chocolate will melt in the mail at least nine months out of the year.
Things I am always running out of -- white sewing thread, Fray Check, universal needles, Wonder Tape, double-sided tape, ultra fine point Sharpies or Sharpie pens.
I DO NOT love the following -- Disney or Looney Tunes, Suzy's Zoo stuff, Diddl, teacher or reward stickers, smiley face junk, post-its, paper clips, dirty or bent/folded papers, artificially sweetened anything, tea or coffee.
Please DO NOT send me any religious or political propaganda, paraphernalia, etc. I celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday and greatly prefer to receive nonreligious cards, etc. when I am involved in holiday swaps.
Oh, and I do not pen pal, so please never send friendship books or the like.

I enjoy sewing, quilting, patchwork, embroidery, cross stitch, paper crafts, mail art, scrapbooking, junk journaling.
I love, love, love fabric, even tiny scraps. I love to paper piece hexagons, and tiny scraps work wonderfully for the 1/2" size as long as the fabric's pattern is small scale.
I prefer modern fabrics, but I do love vintage '60s and '70s floral prints and '30s feedsack prints. I'm all about bright colors, bold prints, and cute patterns. I especially love Japanese and Liberty of London fabric.
Country-ish fabric or that Civil War era stuff does absolutely nothing for me. Please don't send it because it won't get used here. It's too drab for my colorful life.
Same goes for scrapbooking paper. I can't think of anything more boring than a neutral. Unless that neutral is gray or kraft.
Orbital, The Naked and Famous, Foster the People, Passion Pit
Dexter, Hannibal, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Criminal Minds...I kind of like gore and drama, I guess. As long as it's smart. I am also obsessed with The Golden Girls. Obsessed!
-- I send most of my swaps out through my own mailbox and mark them as sent when my mailman has picked them up. Because of this, postmark dates may differ slightly from the date I clicked sent.
-- Although my dog and cat are not allowed into my sewing room, it is possible that a hair might end up on something. I try my best to look things over, but it's entirely possible that I miss some. I apologize if this happens.
-- I try to reuse packaging whenever possible, especially bubble mailers.
-- I always read my ratings, but I don't usually respond. I'm sorry if this bugs you!
-- I always rate the day I receive a swap, so if I haven't rated you, that means I haven't received it yet.
:)
