I'm a mom. I'm a journalist. :) I'm a raging liberal. I grew up in Abilene, Kansas, (I like Ike!) but now live in Missouri (in Harry S Truman's hometown) after stints in Idaho and Indiana. I guess I like living in cities that presidents come from.

I am an editor for a company that produces onsite daily newspapers for medical associations. So I write about health topics a lot. (and amazingly, I'm not a hypochondriac as a result)

I'm currently addicted to vintage everything, shopping for fun office supplies, and binge watching television shows on my Kindle.

My kids are 19 and 12. Daughter Abigail is a theater and music diva studying musical theatre in college (ack, I'm a stage mom). Son Alexander is all about the Wii U and superheros. I'm married for almost 20 years.

I LOVE Broadway musicals, 80s pop and new wave, classical and 90s grunge. Occasionally you'll find me rocking out to a little vintage industrial too. The area around me, though, is a country music free zone.

I read everything (but Westerns). Favorite authors are Stephen King and F. Paul Wilson. I love magazines to a fault.

I'm allergic to cats, so I'm not crazy about cat/kitty stuff. Please no overtly religious items either, unless it's old masters artwork. ;) I'm also not a huge sports fan, unless it is Kansas Jayhawks basketball. I do like vintage sports images, though. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food, either. (shellfish allergy and supertaster, so some things taste really weird and metallic to me) I'm not much of a tea or coffee drinker. I am very liberal and I care about the earth and all humans, so keep your Cheeto von Tweeto and his band of swamp creatures away from me.

I love the colors red, teal and pink. I collect penguins, lily of the valley items and vintage hats and purses. I never met an estate sale I didn't like. I love art, music and literature. I'm also a history buff (except for military history), especially women's history and material culture. Of course, I love chocolate (white and milk). Love craft items: stickers, fun papers, ephemera, washi tape, embellishments, etc.
