I am a 49 year old single mom of a 7 year old daughter, named Leah Rose. We love to do arts & crafts, reading, and photography. I am new to swapping, but I thought it would be a lot of fun to give and receive some unique mail. It gets tiresome seeing nothing but bills in the mailbox. :)

MUSIC: I love classic rock and some of the more modern country music. I listen to soundscapes on the tv at night. When I was in elementary school, I took piano lessons. I can play classical music, but I'm not very good at playing any other kind of music.

BOOKS: I like to read mysteries, thrillers, romance, but my favorite is Science Fiction. My favorite author is Anne McCaffrey.

MOVIES: I like to watch all kinds of movies... action, drama, historical, children's, and science fiction. My favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, and The Gladiator with Russell Crowe.

TELEVISION: TV is my favorite multi-task partner. I am always listening to the TV when I'm doing something. My favorites are Law & Order, NCIS, hawaii five-o, pretty much all the cop or detective shows. Sanctuary, Warehouse 13, and Stargate.

CRAFTS: I love to create things.. antique angel pins, angel tree toppers, crochet, cross stitch. I collect angels and teddy bears. I love all things southern, vintage, frilly, and girly with ribbons and pearls. My favorite colors are dusty pink and emerald green. I've never swapped FBs before, but I would like to try making one and being in a swap, and share the experience with my 7yo daughter.

OTHER HOBBIES: My other hobbies are volunteering, girl scouts, blogging, writing, journaling, poetry. web design & graphics (including blog layouts) and photography. I love social media such as facebook and twitter, and blogging sharing networks, such as blog frog. I do play farmville, farm town and cafe world, but I don't force it on my friends who don't care anything about it.

COLLECTIONS: I love to collect angels, teddy bears and candles, in any type of media: such as knick-knacks (even cheap $1 store ones), jewelry, paper, stickers, bookmarks, pictures, pretty magnets, antebellum, keychains, anything with magnolias, and postcards

SWAPS: I will accept private swaps. I'm new to handmaking items, but I like making FBs, bookmarks, postcards (from my photography). If you are interested, send me an email to [email protected].

PENPALS: New penpals wanted. Females in the USA only, age range 38-58ish, preferably Christian moms (married or single ok), also moms of special needs children ok. I write long chatty letters about my everyday life, regularly, but not too frequently.

Leah Rose is 7 years old and in the first grade. She loves anything princess, my little pony, little pet shop, spongebob, puppies, kittens and horses. Her favorite colors are pink and red, and her favorite shapes are hearts and stars. She loves to sing and dance. Her favorite movie is Ariel. She takes horse riding lessons, is a daisy girl scout, and plays soccer and baseball. She loves reading books, coloring, and drawing. She prefers markers over crayons. She likes to collect unique buttons.
