Hello, my name is Kayla and I am 19 years old. I am an only child and my birthday is February 7. I live in Louisville, Kentucky and have all my life. I have a huge interest in ANYTHING French, or relating to France. I absolutely adore anything having to do with Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI, the French court, 18th century, the French Revolution, French history, history in general, and things relating to these topics/people. I also ride horses, but I haven't been able to lately because of college. I attend the University of Louisville and I am getting ready to begin my sophomore year on August 25th. I am currently on Summer break. My favorite colours are lime green and black. I love stationary and I adore writing. Anything cute, really! My dream in life is to go to France and hold a conversation with a local. I also ADORE Superman/Clark Kent, Lois Lane. All the Superman movies = LOVE. I have two gerbils named Lucy and Mathilda. I also have a betta fish named Clark. Feel free to send a paper towel roll along with your package, the gerbils will surely love it! :)
Please note: I rate EVERYTIME & I do it as soon as I receive your package/item. If for some reason I don't, PLEASE send me a message letting me know! Communication is very important to me :).
Please note: I do NOT have any allergies. :)
I listen to all kinds of music (except that metal music where all they do is scream their heads off); I love Classical, Pop, R&B, Rap, Country, etc. I would absolutely adore a mix-cd of your favorite music. I'm always open to listening to new songs and new artists. My pen pal from France just sent me a CD with all French songs and I adore it.
I like reading books, and I tend to go towards books relating to kings, queens, books about France, fiction, etc. The Hidden Diary of Marie Antoinette, The Other Boleyn Girl, The First Elizabeth, Abundance, books about traveling to France. My favorite author is Carolly Erikson. I'm working on reading all of her books. :)
My favorite television shows are Smallville, the Tudors, Family Guy, Spongebob Squarepants, Chelsea Lately, John and Kate Plus 8, Fairly Oddparents.
I also like to watch anything on the History channel or the Travel channel.
Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI, France, the French language, Superman, Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Livejournal, Computers, Stationary, Writing, Pen Palling, receiving mail, receiving packages, sending mail, sending packages, the French Revolution, Paris, speaking French, French history, blogging, friends, kittens, college, fruit, puppies, Spongebob Squarepants, Kawaii stationary, writing utensils, pens, pencils, drawing (even though I can't draw to save my life haha!), markers, paint-by-numbers, lotion (just as long as it isn't coconut scented!), body wash, Bath and Body Works products, Dollar Store stationary, stickers, Hello Kitty related items, magazine clippings (I adore making collages), poems written on random pieces of paper, newspaper articles, gift cards to: Target, Barnes and Noble, Wal-Mart, Borders; recipes for sweet treats, chocolate, candy, random notes, random postcards of anything, magazines, candles, Jergen's Shea Butter Lotion (LOVE), cardstock, and the list could probably go on. I'm trying to work on lenghtening my profile to accomodate my swapping partners so they can get a good idea. I'll probably add more as I think of it.
Spiders, creepy bugs, coconut scented items, coconut flavored items, clowns, used items.
Stationary, stickers, french scrapbooking items, books (mostly fiction in relation to Henry VIII & his wives, Marie Antoinette, the French court, 18th century, etc.) Kawaii stationary, postcards of anything and anywhere, magazine cut-outs, poems, recipes, candles, handmade items, mix-cds of your favorite music, stationary letter sets, lime green things, lotions, body wash, lip balm, coloring books, writing pens, markers, paint-by-numbers, memo pads, collage materials, Superman/Clark Kent items, movie & book recommendations, a picture of something drawn by you, a CD of your favorite music, Jergen's Shea Butter Lotion, pictures you've taken, etc.

Hello! I'm adding you because I saw that you're interested in France, and that's where I live. :) Marseille, to be exact! Hope you're having wonderful holidays! <3 Kitty
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! COME CELEBRATE! :D
February Birthday Gift & Card Swap
Many thanks! Staci
Hey, K! Thanks for the reply about your interest in French. I had the opportunity to stay 3 weeks on the Cote d'Azur when I was a soph. in HS and it was fabulous--though I did write home that I thought I might die riding on the mopeds there--they go so fast and waaaayyy too close to everything else for my comfort! LOL My bad about the prof.--he worked at (just retired from) UK--not UL. Sorry! Enjoy what's left of your summer! Bonjours! Lisa
Hey--Do you happen to know a prof at UL by the name of Ray Forgue? My best friend just married him! Also, my husband used to work for Jergens--sorry he quit or I'd send you some shea butter! I'm intrigued as to how you became so interested in French history. Did you visit France? Is that your major? I'm an only child, too, and so is my son. It's pretty cool until you get old enough to take care of your own parents...then it's a drag! LOL
I was just doing a search for a swap about Marie Antoinette... I am a total geek for MA and Louis, all things French, the Tudors, the Phillipa Gregory novels (have you seen the movie yet) and even Superman and all the Spiderman, MARVEL series also. My daughter loves Family Guy.
I also hate spiders and coconut. I have a morbid fear of clowns. Your profile makes me laugh. You are twenty years younger than me but you sound just like me! Good luck in school.
