hello. I am 27 years old, a lady, interested in found art. I think everyone needs more mail! I drink tea with sugar and milk after giving up an impossibly deep addiction to coffee. I have a daughter who is almost 7, I am marrying my best friend this summer, and I live with three cats. I only hate the cats sometimes. They are lucky they are so cute.
knitting, print making, sewing, pen and ink drawing, baking yummy things, silkscreening, carving stamps into erasers and anything that involves salvaging garbage and making it into something usable.
things to help figure out what I like: candy, cute animals, flan, old paper, old children's book, cool typeface, stamps (rubber and postage), kind people and puppies.
I really really (really) like getting edibles and teas from other places. Spreads (jams, jellies, hot sauce, etc) that are a must have in your country and come in tiny single size packets that are given out for free at restaurants or fast food places? LOVE THEM!! I also love: tea bags, local candies, local post cards, any vintage paper from anywhere in the world, labels in languages other then english, free packing labels/forms from post offices outside the US (I use them in my altered art letters). I also love silkscreening anything with a sticky back to make post-ups (a type of graffiti art that's very popular where I live)... Examples are address labels, mailing labels, price tags, or shipping labels. It doesn't matter if they have a design on them because I just silkscreen over them! I think it adds to the aesthetic. I also love getting seeds from far off places as I'm a gardener. I'm amassing a collection of "PHOTOS OF STRANGERS" so those are known to make me smile as well. I used to mail swap in another community and have been known to send packages back to people who send really cool stuff. I've made some of my bast penpals that way!! I also love tiny bits of yarn or string because I think I might be part magpie. I use it to pretty up packages and gifts.
I love love love kindereggs but can't get the reliably here :(. If anyone sends one they'll get a gift in kind from me!! And a heart!! And my thanks!! And I will sing their praises for generations to come (or something to that effect)!!
