About Me
I enjoy many types of crafts. Mostly sewing, quilting, and crocheting recently. Although I have done many other types in the past and now that my children are grown and I have more time, I am always looking for something new and interesting to try.
I am interested in swapping because I would like to meet others who have similar interests and have a little fun too. I love crafting and enjoy sharing that love with others.
Favorite Music
Mostly Country (can't think of any country performers/bands I don't like) ... but having been a teenager in the 80s, music from bands like Chicago, Journey, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, etc always bring back fond memories.
I am NOT a fan of classical music.
Favorite Television
I mostly watch HGTV or DIY channel. I watch sewing/crafting shows also. Biggest Loser and shows about dogs (Dog Whisperer, Pit Boss, Philly Undercover) also top the list.
NOT a fan of the celeb reality shows such as the Kardashians, etc. I don't feel having a lot of money makes you any more worthy of attention than anyone else.
Dislikes
People who judge others by what they have or don't have or how they choose to live their lives.
Things I Like
My favorite color is purple. I also love silver/gray, aqua/teal, and pinks. However, there are not any colors that I completely dislike.
I also like things that sparkle/shine and things that have interesting textures.
Things that are homemade. I appreciate the time and effort that someone has put into an item to make it special.
I love dogs (all breeds) -- I have 4!
Craft items -- fabric, yarn, appliques, trims, fancy papers, beads, rubber stamps, stickers, buttons, jewelry, etc. I honestly can't think of any crafting supplies I would not like.
Inspirational quotes/ books/ poems. I think we can all use a little encouragement now and then.
I love to read. Usually realistic fiction such as the Elm Creek Quilters series (a current favorite). I also read both contemporary and historical fiction and romances.
Things I would NOT want to rec
Anything having to do with spiders/ snakes/ bugs, etc.
Anything with skulls, vampires, sorcerers, and otherwise morbid themes
Books, movies, etc with the Vampire series that are popular now, Harry Potter, witches, etc.
Anything with vulgar language, "dark" humor, etc.

It has been almost a month since you posted you sent the Big Fat Stuffed Envelope Swa[ #12 - USA. I PMed you about my no receipt but you have not been online for almost a month. You didn't read the pm so I have no answer as to why I haven't received yet. This is a nice swap and I am so hoping you follow through. However, you are a newbie by about only a month and it is starting to look like you swooped in to accept your swap goodies and leave your partners hanging high and dry. I will wait til Friday, March 23rd when I will rate a 1 due to non receipt. It is too bad that newbies get a bad rap from folks like you. And I am sorry that this comment will probably not have any effect on this swap as you have conveniently dropped off the radar.
