***NOTE! I reuse packaging! I've always been a bit of an eco-friendly nut, and this is an extension of it. Please don't hold the outside appearance of a package against me!

I send all swaps out before swap date, or day of, so if you don't get them, let me know before giving a bad rating! Mind, that means I drop it in the postbox by day of, and it might then be stamped a day or even two later, depending on when it's picked up. Also, if you feel disappointed in what I sent, let me know here first and I'll send something more to make sure you're satisfied! I can't always keep track of who has rated me or not to make sure things arrive, so I'm afraid I'll just have to wait till you message me to clear things up, but I am happy to work things out ASAP!

ALSO- I click sent when I drop the swaps in the mailbox at work. I do not know exactly when they are picked up and taken to the post office, so the date stamp may be a day or even two later.***

I'm a 30 year old Adjunct Professor, teaching bored college students how to write essays, and occasionally getting the bliss of teaching the subject I studied in- Literature. My primary scholastic interests are literature and history, and I have a habit of buying more books than I could possibly read. My cats own my soul, because I cannot resist their cute faces. I have a love of dressing up in strange period costumes, but never have anywhere to wear them. I have a weird love of paperwork- filling it out and organizing it. I adore drinking coffee and only find true despair in life when I can't afford to buy myself a good cup of coffee somewhere. I've had some success getting poetry published, and am quite excited to see my name in print more often. Right now, I'm expecting three books out next year.

I tend to incline towards Alternative/Rock music. Favorite bands are Placebo, The Cure, Within Temptation, Nightwish, VAST, Fair to Midland, VNV Nation, The Birthday Massacre, The Civil Wars, Florence + the Machine, No Doubt (Tragic Kingdom and Return of Saturn only, really) Anaria and A Perfect Circle. I like classical when I'm in the mood, and my husband has me dabbling in metal. I do not like rap, modern pop music, country or Christian.

I read. A lot. Favorite books are 'Lolita' and 'The Great Gatsby,' as well as the Harry Potter series. I LOVE Harry Potter. Other favorite authors are Jane Austen, Oscar Wilde, Thomas Mann, Neil Gaiman, Edith Wharton, and Edgar Allan Poe. I enjoy the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin, and a variety of other fantasy and classic literature titles.

I like comedies, some sci-fi/superhero flicks and fantasy movies. Favorites include: 300, Stardust, Velvet Goldmine, Rocky Horror Picture Show, the Harry Potter movies, American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Avengers, the new Star Trek movies, the RDJ Sherlock Holmes movies, and basically all of the current Marvel Avengers character movies.

I enjoy knitting and crochet, and though I've been knitting for years I can really only make scarves and blankets, and can't manage anything too fancy, though I do love cables and lace. I take pleasure in needlework, because I like how tedious it is. Blackwork embroidery brings me joy. Lately I've been taking photos more as well and would love a new and better camera.

Here's a few favorite things for those of you sending me items who like this sort of list. I am a HUGE geek, so if a geek in your life says they like it, it's probably a go. (Though I DISLIKE STAR WARS. A lot, actually.)

Hogwarts House- Slytherin!

Colors- Black, silver, violet, burgundy, emerald. Combinations I like are silver/green.

Animals- Lions, cats, dragons, owls, foxes, gryphons, horses.

Teas- I prefer white or green teas.
