My username is "pickledpenguintoes". My mother, who goes by "madamegooseberry", and I live together at the same address. We'll have to watch names on our swaps so we don't get confused! Just to say a little bit about myself, I attend church often, have a decent paying job and work full time. I have a pet cat who I absolutely adore :] my boyfriend considers him a threat because I just love him to death! Haha it's difficult convincing my boyfriend that there is no competition. :] I am the middle child, having 2 older sisters (hand me downs!! :D) and 2 younger brothers. I don't plan to stay in Missouri my whole life, I'm just waiting to see what God has instore for me.
I joined Swap-Bot so I could maybe craft now and then to relieve some stress as homework begins to pile on and work hours are doubling up. I love crafting with glue, markers, paper scraps and duct tape especially. I made a duct tape skirt for my 8th grade graduation :] I thought it was pretty spiffy myself.
I once went on a mission trip to China. It was southern China, where the humidity wasn't so unbearable and the bugs weren't too great in number. It was so beautiful every morning at dawn, it would rain just a tiny bit only as the sun was coming up. Rarely any other time of day. I went over there to teach the school-teachers English. It was so much fun; I was in charge of music and games, showing them what we do in dances or sing in well-known songs. I also have been to Chicago! Chicago was gorgeous; I loved it :] the skyscrapers and the subways, the toll booths, train stations. I felt so overwhelmed at times, living here in Raytown where it's impossible to feel a rush like that! I preferred to stand on the train and subways, it was neat to rock back and forth with the tracks.
My favorite types of music are christian rock, mellow emo music, acoustic and techno. Just to name a few of my favorite christian artists; Skillet, Before Their Eyes, Thousand Foot Krutch, Chris Tomlin, Audio Adrenaline, Tree 63, Disciple, Chris Rice, Aaron Shust, The Afters, Eisley, Seventh Day Slumber, Emery, Falling Up, Flyleaf, Jeremy Camp, Jonah33, Kutless, Norma Jean, Pillar, P.O.D., Pocket Full Of Rocks, Switchfoot, Sanctus Real, Tenth Avenue North and Shane And Shane. I love music that inspires me, or that brings deep emotion. I love music that goes with the flow, relating to real life situations that also brings real-life answers. Most answers I find are in prayer, in solitude and in crafting; of course. :] I find my peace when I am feeling inspired.
Bow ties, ties, shiny, polka Dots, glitter, black and white, elegant, photos, sepia, buttons, sewed patterns, markers, sharpies, neon colors, all blue shaded colors, plaid, thick stripes, cotton, ribbon, wool, water color, PENGUINS :] goddie jewlery
Clip art, stickers, pink, yellow, purple, stencil, stamps. None of that stuff that LOOKS printed If it's not authentic, and doesn't look handcrafted, I'll be disappointed.. (doesn't mean I won't like it). Dogs, snowman themes, birds sitting on branches (flying birds are neat, though), plastic, beads.
My attire - never anything too goddy. I know I said that huge jewelry is neat, but I wouldn't wear it. I admires girls who wear bows and cute girly ties, they can pull it off well.
General - I like to make things from duct tape. Any color, really. Neon purple and regular gray are my favorite colors to use. It's hard to keep a good pair of sharp scissors around, they go dull after 2 or 3 projects :P Scrapbooking is also a lot of fun! And it's really rewarding once I've finished a couple pages. It's really hard for me to get motivated to do it, but once I do I could sit down and scrapbook for hours.
My types of crafting ~ Duct tape art, painting, sketching and drawing. I love using my hands with mud, play dough, clay or drawing with chalk even.
