Hi fellow Swappers and Happy Mailers

My name is Sabine, I'm a 30something Gal from Germany now living in Texas with my husband and 3 stepdaughters, and I Am A Child Of God. Yup... I love Jesus and he loves me. I enjoy spending time studying the bible, journaling what I discovered and, since I just discovered Bible Art Journaling / Illustrated Faith, I'm turning some of that into art. I also love worship and prayer time at home and in my church community. I'm very involved at my church volunteering in the kitchen cooking for events and co-leading a youth group.

I also have two groups of my own. They are called "Shameless Chocoholics and Candylovers" and "Faith heART Swaps". I think the first one doesn't warrant an explanation. The second group is for all people who love to praise God through their creativity, through Bible art journaling, prophetic art, illustrated faith,... . Things that might be helpful:

• in postcards I'm not a huge fan of the touristy postcards (picture of landmark and in big letters the name) I prefer more artistic landscape photography I also like anything with food, funny quotes, proverbs, pictures of people(especially: babies pregnant women, mothers with babies) and riddles, puzzles and mazes

Things I enjoy:

• crazy socks especially holiday themed socks (christmas socks make me very happy!!!)

• Funny or pretty paper napkins

• Anything that has to do with midwifery (pregnancy, babies,...)

• I'm a big circus fan. Not really the animal acts but acrobatic and especially clowns. My favorite is almost any show by cirque du soleil. I like vintage circus themed stuff too.

• Sakura Gelly Roll pens bright, glittery or pastels

• micro pens with super fine tips in black for sketching and writing

• scrapbook paper

• stamps: alphabet, nature (foliage) and season (spring, summer,...) designs, vintage or shabby chic designs And you would make me so happy if you'd send me pretty Christian faith based (acrylic) stamps

• stickers but not childish or kawaii

• thickers or other alphabet stickers

• rub ons (they are almost impossible to get here)

• Buttons (mainly for art) in all shapes colors and sizes

• characters I like are: Calvin& Hobbes, Peanuts, Disney characters (but not the princesses), People of the Bible

• washi tape

• bakers twine in all colors

• Christian things

• cute cupcake liners

my favorite colors are : aqua, Hot pink, white, dark blue, I like the combination of these colors too

and to be honest I like all bright happy colors

I love trying new recipes, especially old family recipes, traditional foods from your region and even more if it's for something sweet!

Things I don't really care about:

• Mangas

• The Simpsons

• Hello Kitty, and other Kawaii or overly cutsie stuff

• most ephemera, like monopoly money or magazine clippings, or tiny paper scraps, unless it's vintage tag's or something unique that fit's my other likes or personality

• Kawaii and other ubercute and childish designs

• Skulls, Vampires, Ghosts and other "scary stuff"

• anything adult themed paganism, witchcraft, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam,... I'm a Christian and I hope you will respect that

• bath salts, bath oil, bubble bath,... anything to use in bath tubs - Besides rubber duckies :-) I don't have a bath tub and even if I did I probably wouldn't use it. I am one of those weird females that doesn't looove taking baths.

I've been doing quite a few food swaps, so I decided to put my food related likes and dislikes in one convenient location.

Candy:

I like...

...pretty much anything but some fav's include:

• peanut butter filled candy
• chocolate covered cherries
• black licorice (I like it best pure)
• caramel or natural raspberry filled chocolate
• and my new addiction: salted caramel anything

I always wanted to try:

• Saltwater Taffy (the fresh kind)
• maple syrup candy
• any regional things that can only be found where you live... I love getting exposed to new unknown tastes.

I dislike:

• Coffee flavored anything
• nougat (makes me nauseous)
• red licorice
• mint chocolate combination and Chili chocolate combination
• Bubble/chewing gum
• very artificial tasting or looking things...

Snacks:

I like almost anything here as well but you will make me very happy with: - spicy - beef jerky - unusual unique things

Not to keen on...

• onion flavored things
• soup mixes or similar, and anything that has glutamate in it - my stomach can't handle those very well.

Drinks:

The only thing I'm not a fan of (besides coffee) is green tea

With all the dislikes above please note: I have plenty of family and friends who really enjoy these things, so if you send it, I won't rate you down at all!

Baking supplies:

No dislikes here :-)))

But I like/need especially basic things that are hard to get here, like chocolate/peanut butter chips (all forms and sizes), pumpkin purée or graham crackers.

I know those are heavy and make it expensive to ship, so don't worry about it if it's not in your budget!!!!

I do enjoy private swaps a lot.

If you are a newbie and have 3 swaps or less I'm happy to help you out with a private swap to get some ratings. I then only ask you to send first and I send mine out once I received your package.

... the subject of packaging, sending and rating:

Packaging: I do reuse packaging. Why? because A) I think its a waste of material not to, and B) I'd rather use the money, that I would have to spend on boxes and (padded) envelopes, to be able to join more swaps and/or make the packages more special with extras.

Sending: I vow to send on time or let my swap partner know in advance if I will be delayed.

Rating: I always Rate the day I have received and opened my swap mail. And I will not rate a 3 or a 1 without contacting my swap partner first.
