Hubby and I work together with at-risk kids. We have been in vocational ministry with kids/teens for 20+ years and wouldn't have it any other way.
Our youngest son, 15, and I spend a lot of time together as I homeschool. We adopted one of the amazing kiddos we had in foster care at our previous positions. He is doing so well.
Our other two children are grown. Our oldest, a wonderful daughter teaches pre-school.
Our youngest, a son, has three children of his own. Our two grandsons have August birthdays like hubby, their daddy and I. Our precious granddaughter was born in March.

Odds & Ends: magnets, dog treats, fuzzy socks,
I am allergic to chocolate.
I have arthritis,CRPS and fibromyalgia which slows me down, but doesn't stop me.
I grew up in the north, but now live in Florida. And we moved down here to take a job, not to retire.
Candles burning in my house makes me happy.
I LOVE to rearrange furniture; it tortures me to leave it for more than a month or two at a time.
I really do NOT understand the Kawaii craze.
I'm allergic to mushrooms and chocolate.
Birds creep me out. Seriously, they terrify me.
I'm addicted to my planner even though I keep changing the page design I use.
I had never seen washi until I discovered Swap-Bot.
*Fabric of any size, shape, color, style, or pattern. I am obsessed with quilting and fabric crafting. Some of my favorites are polka dots, purples, and plaids. Any dog-related or American patriotic fabric is also awesome!
*Sewing supplies like thread, pins, quilt batting, interfacing, buttons, and any other sewing items you have but will never use. Even open, partial packages are such a sweet blessing to receive.
*Air Force or patriotic items - anything!
*Grandma items as I became a "Gammaw" in August 2015 and a second time in August 2018. *Washi Tape, actually any deco/art tape. This is a new addiction since joining Swap Bot. How did I not know about this amazing stuff before??? LOVE IT!!
*Anything Curious George. A few years ago for our anniversary my hubby bought me a large hardbound book with several Curious George stories bound together. Best gift ever!
I really hate to have this section, but with my medical history I must.
Please nothing scented. This includes perfumes, lotions, anything! My lupus makes me extremely sensitive to smell. What seems pleasant and mild to you could cause me problems. Candles with a fruity or nature scent are great. If they are too strong for me, my daughter loves to steal them from me.
For the same reason, please do not send anything with smoke or mildew residue or smell. I had a serious reaction not long ago.
And on the weird side, I am allergic to chocolate so I may be the only woman on the planet who would not like to receive chocolate.
I am a Christian so I prefer not to receive anything that is in opposition to my faith. But don't worry, if you do, forgive and move forward is my motto.
My first love is quilting. I love the creativeness and variety that comes with this great art form.
I also love sewing items like Bible covers, pillows, curtains, mug rugs, pot holders, tote bags, and other little surprises for my friends and the kids we work with.
I am a beginner at paper crafting, but I am liking the fun of creating my own cards to share. I have always loved sending cards, and creating my own is so much fun!

James 1:2
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.
I never knew how profound the book of James was until we studied it with the book Joy for Today by Daryl Kraft. I think it is now my favorite as well!
Thanks so much for the encouraging profile bling. ❤️❤️
