About Me

I'm a 53 year old special education teacher. I have 2 sons and still making the adjustment of having an empty nest, a husband of 30 years and 4 dogs as well as foster rescue puppies. When I have a few minutes, I love to read, take baths, try new crafts, travel, cook, take way too many pictures and garden. I raise chickens, just for fun and fresh eggs. I've recently added goats to my little farm.

Favorite Music

I love all kinds of music especially country. I always have a radio on somewhere. A few of my favorite artists are Melissa Etheridge, Kenny Chesney and Goo Goo Dolls.

Favorite Books

My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Barbara Kingsolver and I love mysteries.

Favorite Television

I love the mystery and crime shows such as CSI and Law and Order.

Favorite Crafts

I like making homemade gifts. I enjoy trying new ones. I am still working on expanding my knitting past scarves. I’m currently trying to teach myself to crochet. I like making baskets and have made many varieties. I also like scrapbooking.

Comment: Thank you for letting me know such a book existed. I have a cousin whose mother always hid his illness and nobody knew what was wrong with him. Hopefully this will give me some hindsight as to what autism is all about. Also thank you for the tea packets. You are the second person that has given me chocolate tea, which I never heard of before. Shirley
