Update for swap mates and SwapBot friends (Aug/Sept 2022)
I have relocated to a new city for work. As such I am on a break from crafting till I settle down. Don't worry about your mail. It is getting collected and would be forwarded to me shortly. I will rate the swaps as soon as possible. I am also trying my best to find a way to become regular on SwapBot again. Till then, wish me luck!

For swap partners old and new,
I lost my phone two weeks back and along with it a lot of my photos which weren't backed up on any account or device. Along with that, a whole folder of outgoing swap proofs vanished. Thus, I am going through old swaps which were not resolved. You might receive a message from me for a resend or I would be re-sending a forgotten swap which didn't reach you.
Timeline of these swaps - Sept 2021 till now.
Hello everyone! I am a college professor who likes to journal, craft, and send letters to friends and pen pals.
A little about the name itself - The Aesthetic Listless Project - for the past few years I've immersed myself completely into work and could not find anytime to devote to what I loved the best. A lot of introspection went into it and I finally decided to delve into this much beloved world of art and craft after what seems like ages. So this is an attempt to get out of that 'listless' state through the craft way. You can connect with me on Instagram as well (same handle).
I have been snailmailing for over two decades but nothing fancy to be honest. Just your usual long correspondence. I love crafting as well but have never mixed these two until this year. I was introduced to swap-bot by a very dear person this year and it has been a pleasant surprise to see this lovely community tucked in this virtual space.
Reader Life: I love to read contemporary literary fiction, postmodern fiction, magic realism, contemporary Indian Writing in English and the likes. That does not mean that I don't read other genres. I am also a fan of manga and try to read what is available.
Some of my favorite writers: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Kurt Vonnegut, Haruki Murakami, Margaret Atwood, Jerry Pinto, Amitav Ghosh, Jhumpa Lahiri, Arundhati Roy among others.
Book recommendations (even if they are not what I've mentioned here) are more than welcome.
TV Addict Life: I watch a lot of TV shows from across the world and reading subtitles has now become a voluntary habit. I do love the classic British Detective shows and Korean Dramas. If you are someone who likes these then please feel free to send me recommendations. I am always up for those.
Music is Life: I love to listen to all types of music but if I have to see the stats then I believe pop and indie-pop rule my playlist. I also love the contemporary musicians and composers such as Ludovico Einaudi, Howard Shore, Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer and many more.
SEND ME MUSIC RECOMMENDATIONS!!! I am always up to explore music across languages and have no issues to learn about new music. I do love K-pop as well.
I love all things vintage, botanical and floral and hence you will find that aesthetics all around me and in my crafts. I love following YouTube craft tutorials and try new crafts for my penpals and snailmail buddies.
I have become a fan of ATCs (which I discovered here) and try to participate in those actively.
I love zines. I would love to receive them if you have made one and would like to share.
Likes/Wishlist: It might not be a requirement for most swaps but please do write/send a letter with the mail - a bit about yourself and perhaps the creative process behind that swap.
I love all the pastel shades and have a specific interest in all the soft shades of brown and green. I like to collect postcards, stamps and stickers and would be easily swayed by flipbooks, ephemera and washi tapes.
For crafty mails - I'm looking forward to: Botanical stickers/ephemera, Vintage washi rolls/samples, Floral washi rolls/samples, Yarn samples
Handmade stuff: tags, pockets, flipbooks, ATCs, zines, poetry, story
Dislikes: I am not a fan of puffy stickers or emoji goodies and try to avoid glitter at all costs.
NOTE: Mail from India is taking over two months or more. Please wait a little longer. If it's still not there at your end then please let me know. I do take pictures of what I send and the stamped envelope as well and can provide proof for the same. If you haven't received yours till now then please PM here or DM me on Instagram as that would be the fastest way to connect with me.
Loving this community and the swaps and groups over here.
Have a lovely day!
