Hi :) my name is gayle and I live on the sunny atlantic in nc. I am the proud mother of 4 daughters and 4 wonderful grandaughters. I have always been a crafter and used to own and operate my own ceramic shop. Now I own a daycare center and spend most of my time down on the floor playing blocks or barbies. My girls and I are avid letterboxers and we are crazy about our pets.....I even have a 150 pound nanny goat named candybill who loves oreo cookies :)
MUSIC I love the 80'ssssss!!! I don't really care much for country....except for Garth. I Love Garth.
BOOKS Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Saul....I am crazy for horror books. I also like Anita Shreve, Wally Lamb, VC Andrews.
TV I have to admit I am a reality show junkie. I love Big Brother, Survivor, Apprentice, Hells Kitchen...etc. I also love sit-coms Big Bang Theory is my favorite.
HOBBIES My family is a happy group of campers. We love to spend time around a campfire under the stars. No RV for us ....we are strictly tenters. We spend alot of time at our favorite family campground. My kids have spent many summers there. I often say Green Acres ( the campground) is my favorite place on earth.
My girls and I are also big into letterboxing. Letterboxing is a very addictive activity that I learned about as a Girl Scout leader. We find clues on the internet and follow them to hidden boxes.....they are EVERYWHERE!! It is a kinda like treasure hunting. When you find the box you will find a stamp which you stamp into your logbook and then put your stamp in their logbook.
INTERESTS I love anything with pastel colors. I love animals and whimsical creatures. I love nascar and the Pittsburg Steelers. My husband bought me a nice professional decorating set for christmas so now I am going to try my hand at cake decorating. Wish me luck!!!

Hi there,
It's great to see that your family loves camping. I try to go with my friends camping whenever we are all free. You must be very busy taking care of all the little ones at your daycare centre. And a goat that loves Oreo cookies must be fun to have as an excuse to buy yummy cookies :-D

Hi Gale! Welcome to Swap-bot! It is a very fun website. (Read my profile and post a comment)
I'm one of your partners in the Rate my profile and leave a comment swap.
Big Bang Theory is my favourite show too! Unfortunately here we get old episodes but I'm looking forward to getting a few of the newer series on DVD to watch. Sheldon is so awkward but I find him endearing and cute!
I must admit I'd never heard of letterboxing before but it sounds really fun and challenging. I think they do something like that here using GPS navigation systems and using coordinates to find things out in the bush and out of the way places but I've never tried it.
Good luck with the cake decorating, I'd love to see photos!! Hugs from Australia and happy swapping :)
Hi Gayle!

I'm excited to see that you are a letterboxer! So am I :) However, I haven't gotten much boxing done lately. It's a little tricky in Texas when the summer is WAAAY to hot to letterbox, and then the weather starts to get yucky - My husband and I sort of missed those few beautiful days this year (although we did get out and find a few!) It's such a fun hobby - you really get to know your town better, and find interesting sites wherever you are. And I love stamp carving too, so that's a nice bonus! Anyways, I enjoyed reading your profile. Have a great day!
Jenny
Hi! I'm here for the "read my profile and comment" swap.
You're profile made me laugh! In a very good way :) Especially the idea of the goat nibbling away oreo's made me giggle :) I love my oreo's way too much to even concider feeding them to a goat, but then again, i share my food with my cats and bunnies, so I understand ;)
I just read my first Dean Koontz book, it's called "het fransiscus komplot" in dutch, "watchers" in english. I thought it was amazing, since for the first time in years i actually read a book in a few days instaid of weeks, or not finishing at all. I just NEEDED to know how the story would continue!
Well, nice to meet you and hope to see you around in a swap soon!
Love, Rhianne
