Please Read

I'm having a really bad time right now. Besides the medical problems I had last month some of them haven't seen to have gotten any better causing me to get behind on my swaps.

I've dropped any swaps I could and will be working as hard as I can to catch up and get my remaining swaps out to the wonderful people I owe them to.

I do apologize to those that I owe swaps to and hopefully I'll be able to get back to where I was before all this started.

I'm a SAHM who loves to read, cook, play with the computer, and do crafts (although I don't do as much as I'd like to because of my eyes). Right now we live in Tennessee.

Right now I'm reading cozies. I've always loved mysteries and the cozy is probably my favorite. I can get through them pretty fast and so I can usually finish a book in a couple of days of reading just before turning out the lights at night.

I also read thrillers, science fiction and fantasy, and biographies of people I'm interested in or that have had an influence in my life in some way. Since I'm also interested in the psychology of crime I'll read books that deal with that as well.

I like to watch things that are complete escapism such as action/adventure, mysteries, thriller, sci-fi and fantasy, and horror. I will watch the occasional docu-drama (read feel-good) movie.

Well television goes the same way as movies. On my Tivo are NCIS, the CSIs, The Closer, Bones, House, Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, Stargate Atlantis, etc. Jericho is still on the TiVo because I was thrilled to learn that they are going to pick-up the show for a mid-season replacement next year.

I've always loved crafting with my hands even though I might not be the best at it or the most inventive. Some of things I like to try my hand at are:

• knitting
• crocheting
• jewelry making
• scrapbooking
• counted cross stitch
• needlepoint

• Colors: I have to say that I do like black when it comes to my clothing but I also like the darker shades of most colors.
• Collections: Teacups, coffee mugs, pens, cook books, beads, seashells, colorful papers, note cards, post cards, and those little lapel pins one can get at tourist spots.
• Favorite Season is winter.
• Favorite animals: Birds, dogs, big cats, seals, dolphins, and whales.
• Favorite mythical creatures: Dragons
• Favorite mythology: Celtic and Norse.

My husband is in the Army but right now he's down in Texas teaching at Ft. Sam Houston. The only one of our kids that are still in the house is the son. He's a senior this year and his JROTC Drill Team just took 1st Place in the National Competition down at Daytona Beach. We also have a boxer named Domino, three cats (S'Earl, Spot, and Kick the Cat), and a cockatiel named Bird.
