About Me

I am a stay at home mom of three small boys. I have lived all over the world and have now settled in North Carolina. I have been a crafter my entire life and love to send handmade things to people. It means so much when someone takes the time make anything for someone else. It shows their heart.

Favorite Music

I Love everything from Bach to Bob Marley. I spent a great deal of time in the Carribean and so I have a real love for reggae. I also love Sade, and most classical.

Favorite Books

I enjoy reading immensely although I don't have a great deal of extra time anymore. I love autobiographies where the person overcomes obstacles unexpectantly. My favorite book is probably "The Giving Tree"

Favorite Movies

I love E.T. and The Bird Cage. I really don't watch a great deal of TV anymore. I would rather craft in my free time.

Favorite Crafts

My favorite crafts are anything to do with paper, sewing, crocheting and card making. I always have several projects in the making because I bore easily and find that moving onto something else helps. I love taking something that someone would throw away and make it into something fabulous.

I collect vintage items, buttons and lace. I love things that have a history and enjoy using them in my crafts. I also love Italian chocolate and tea.

Comment: When this swap was 10 days past the mail out date, I inquired as to the situation. Zipplyflower responded w/ two excuses; but now 8 days later I am still in the dark. We all have issues from time to time -- communication is key.

The beautiful extra gifts, the sunny yellow tissue paper you'd wrapped them in and the beautiful tags with the quotes. I love them so much, you sent such a thoughtful wonderful parcel! I'm in love with everything and will treasure your tags and keep them by my bed for the days they are needed! (You chose some of my favourite quotes too!!) Comment: What a great package! I love everything, including your envie made out of a file folder. I'm sure all the postal workers along the way enjoyed the heart and giraffe too. It's a keeper! I'll enjoy using your handmade cards and bookmark. The bird will stay in the bedroom with some other birds...I even have a decorative birdhouse in there. Thank you so much. Comment: Envelope arrived yesterday and I didn't get to look in it till today. Wow! Great job of decorating the envelope and the inside little pocket. I love the papers and I don't have the two stamps but the rusted metal was the best. I can really use all of these. Thanks so much.

Lisa, you are too kind! Talk about unexpected surprises! Redundant, I know! I didn't see a swap name, so I looked through every swap searching for where to rate you. Then, I realized--Lisa sent a pkg out of the goodness of her heart! Thank you sooo much for the nice package of tags. I already know I'm going to use one on the cover of an altered notebook! They are absolutely beautiful! One day...one day, I will grow up and learn to do beautiful work like that! And the stitched/sewn envelope? Gorgeous!
