Comment: Marie, if you're so pressed for time that you have to send blocks that someone else made, it might be a sign to cut back on some swaps. I was disappointed to get my own blocks back. You're a good swapper otherwise, and I'd hate to see you start getting low ratings for this kind of thing.
Comment: Thank you for the lovely bookmark! The tree is a cute idea how you did it with the snowflakes and glitter! ;-) Blessings, cc
Response: I'm glad you like it! It's the 2nd one I made... The first I tried to draw the doodles in the "snow " area first and then glitter paint it and it turned out a grey mess. Lol thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thank you so much for the quilt blocks. I love the purple one. I like bright colored prints and this sue fits the bill. I love to lay out all the ones I've received in all of this series. Sure will make a beautiful quilt. Thanks again.
Response: Thank you for the heart! I'm glad you like them. I'm all about bright, bold and funky. The other one was an experiment on other colors as I've received quite a bit of neutrals and darker colors and they seem to give the blocks a bit more "grown up" feel to them IMO. So I wanted to try it. Lol have you seen the quilt with the solid colored squares in between these? It pulls the blocks together regardless of their colors. That's what I'm going to do with these. :-)
Comment: This was beautiful! Loved the colors and "beads" design -- so of course my daughter also loved it as well, and immediately "borrowed" it to wear ... I am sure I can get it back from her .... eventually ... thanks so much for the beautiful and inspiring necklace -- I'd love to look at it more closely and "copy" some elements that you used :)
Response: I'm so glad you both like it! :-) thank you for the heart!
Comment: Marie ~ I am so sorry I didn't rate you earlier! I LOVE my house!! And I LOVE my houses!!! Both are awesome!! Thank you so much for joining in and I hope you join in the next one! Have a great day!! XO Kelly :)
Response: I'm so glass you like them! They weren't my first idea, as those didn't quite turn out right, but I had fun. :-) I will be joining in the rest of course! Thank you for the heart!
Comment: ★I wish swapbot allowed me to attach my squeal of delight to this comment. STARS and more stars and it's all in a banner!!! Words cannot express my excitement. Thank you so very much for making something specifically for me. It means a lot! ★
Response: I am so very glad you like it! I was hoping you would. :-D I've been toying around with a similar idea but when I read your profile it all just came together. Then the twig stars were added after playing outside with my baby girl. I'm just glad you like it, that made my day. :-)
Comment: I love my new purple tote!!!! I have already put all of my swap-bot stuff in it for easy transport to work and back, and the crochet stuff will go in too! I LOVE the fabrics you chose. Thank you!!
Response: I'm so very glad. :-D thank you for the heart!
Comment: Thanks for the great blocks. I love all the batiks you have! Haven't quite decided what I will create with my blocks. Right now they are decorating a wall in my craft room. Love how HAPPY they make me feel.
Response: Thank you for the heart. :-) I'm glad you like them! I enjoy just looking at all my blocks too before I do something with them.
Comment: Hi Marie,
Thank you so much for the park blocks. I really struggled with them too, they kicked my butt, however I now have hope as yours look like mine.. so phew!
Thanks so much, beautiful blocks and beautiful colours!
Response: Thank you for the heart. :-) I'm glad yours turned out too. Yea, I'm more for art quilts myself - no rules. Lol
Comment: Thank-you! No, I am not going to send it back to you! :) The funny thing is that your purse was also my 2nd attempt! I can't blame my sewing machine, though. (I have a Husqvarna Viking) I got carried away with the cutting out of the sweater and ended up with something more like coin purse size! :p I think you did an excellent job and I hope your sewing machine survives!
Response: Lol thank you. I hope my machine doesN'T survive so I can get a new one. Lol thank you. :-)
Comment: well your package deserves about 10 stars because Elijah was like a kid on Christmas! Every thing he opened he said "LOOK MOM LOOK DAD LOOK WHAT I GOT ANOTHER JAKE THING LOOK A BALLOON SWORD LOOK LOOK A CAR A CAR PAINTS I GET TO PAINT MOM WHEN CAN I PAINT STAMPS COOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!" in a loud shrieking voice lol DEFINITELY well loved! Thank you!!
Response: I'm sooo glad! I think I was excited as he was when I hit the dollar store and seen all those Jake things! LOL I'm so glad. Thank you for joining my swap! I'll be hosting another for the kids starting next week. Hope to see you in it.
Comment: Thank you for the great swap! I love the poncho, the baby clothes, and the cupcake (my girls are fighting over it). I will wear the poncho on my anniversary Wednesday of next week! Happy swapping!
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything! :-) shoot, had I known you had 2 girls I would have gotten 2 of them. Happy swapping!
Comment: love your blocks. In fact I used almost the very same red. I like that your center was white. Another block I got wasn't and I am afraid it will look out of place in the square if all the others are white!
Response: Thank you. :-) I did then after I got yours in the mail and I used them for reference. I thought as per instructions the second color was supposed to be white?...
Comment: Marie....I love the charms! Quilting and fabric swapping is new for me....kind of nervous that I'm not sending the right thing! Hopefully my partners will like what I send them as much as I like what you sent me! The batik fabric that you sent is very pretty....I have the purple design!! It's going into my first quilt that is in progress! I love the pink too - wish I would have had some of that to put into the quilt....Many hearts to you.... :-)
Response: I'm glad you liked them! Nothing to be nervous about. :-) I'm always up for private swaps with fabric or quilt blocks if you're interested.
Comment: Awww -- she's adorable beyond words! I never would have thought yellow polka dots, but the fabric really sits her, and of course I love the little muff, legwarmers and scarf! My daughter and I just sat there and said "Cuuuute" :)
Response: I'm so glad you like her. :-) I made Nikki the same bunny minus the accessories and she sits there trying to pick the heart off. lol
Comment: Marie, you did not read the directions of the swap very clearly. You were to send 5 DIFFERENT fabrics not 5 squares of the same fabric. I am giving you a 5 though. Thank you
Response: Hi @LainieO thank you. I was confused and asked about it under the comments if we send the same or different fabrics. The swap coordinator answered in the comments and it still sounded like we were to send 5 like fabrics. She said "you can give each partner the same fabric" + the comment in the swap description that mentioned buying 1/2 yd of fabric which makes 24 squares which we keep 4 of for ourselves is why I sent the same fabric. Happy swapping!
Comment: Thank you so, so much! I love it all! The nail polish is perfect and there's nothing better than a good red lip :) And my dog has already been making good use of the toy and bone. Once again, thank you!
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything! :-) I went looking for chocolate mint candy for you but couldn't find any in my little town...
Comment: I loved the block that you made, the brown fabric really set it off, instant love!I like this block, the first one was hard, but after ripping out all of the seams at least once, finally caught on, also thank you for the extra scrap pieces, I save and use all sizes of scraps, good luck with your baby quilt.
Response: I'm glad you like it! I made 3 at the same time and sent the straightest one. Lol I'm using the other two in a quilt for my bed. You're welcome. I use all sizes and fabrics. My favorite quilts are crazy quilts. They can't be messed up! Lol thank you!
Comment: I liked the fabrics, the only downside was, they were all the same.
Response: Hi :-) I was under the impression they were supposed to be the same. I even asked about it in the comments section on the swap page and read it that we were supposed to send the same fabric. The host even mentioned in the swap how to get 1/2 yard of fabric and it makes enough squares for everyone and leaves you with 4 for yourself... If I read it wrong I apologize.
Comment: I admit I was upset when i received the card with my swap and found out i was getting used stuff so instead of being disappointed Christmas morning i opened it and I am like OMG an old Little house on Prarie book the ones i have are new color illustrated but this is vintage and i was very happy now if this will let me give u a heart i will if not I will add it tomorrow
I loved it being an older version makes it even better not everything brand new is the best
Response: I'm very glad you like it! I was hoping that it was one you didn't have already. It's an original rather than a new reprint. While I can understand new, bright and shiny; when it comes to some things, I lean more towards old and original. I really hope you like it. :-)
Comment: Thank you for the nice ornament, and extra ribbons. I have it on my tree now. In future, you may want to just message your partner to let them know you'll be sending a little late. This swap was marked sent Nov 30, yet, wasn't mailed till Dec 3.
Response: Thank you for letting me know! We don't live in town and I, personally, only get into town maybe once a week. So, I gave it to my hubby to mail on Friday... I'll have to ask him about it tomorrow and see what he says. Sorry for that! I was told that it was mailed out...
