I'm Bonnie. My pronouns and she and her. I'm in my 40's, happily married with 2 young and energetic kids. I'm from New York, but we live in Texas. We love getting outdoors, hiking and and bike riding. And now we get to do all that outdoorsy stuff in the winter.
I grew up writing letters to friends and family who didn't live close by, and, after moving to a new part of the country, I got back into the habit and I'm having a lot of fun with it.
As a parent of young children, I do a lot of kid crafts: perler beads, salt dough Christmas ornaments, recycled crayons. I also love creating mail for friends and family with vintage stationery, rubber stamps, stickers and washi tape.
Lots to love from '70s to present day. Raffi and Taylor Swift are in pretty heavy rotation in my house right now. I try to sneak in a little Queen when I can.
When I do get some time to read for myself, I alternate between fiction and non-fiction. I love a good biography. Best reads of the past year for me were Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell.
Curb Your Enthusiasm, Peaky Blinders, Derry Girls, The Great British Baking Show.
As far as swaps go, I love to receive postcards, stickers, stamps and washi tape. My favorite themes are nature and animals. I also love vintage styles (1960's-1980's) and colors: my favorite is rainbow. Postcards of artwork and local museum postcards are always appreciated, as are surprises.
if you think I owe you a swap! I only sign up for swaps I know I can get out in a timely manner and mark them sent as soon as I mail them. And we all know the mail can be slow. But please reach out before giving me a bad rating so I can resend.
