About Me

Note on Shipping: I am new to shipping mail internationally, if you do not receive your mail please let me know and I will send it again and figure out what went wrong! For USA mail - it seems to take on average 10-14 days for my more involved letters to get to where they are going. Anything more than just two or three pages in an undecorated envelope will take significantly longer. Thank you for understanding!

~+++~ Hello! I'm very new to Swap-Bot. I love sending snail mail and decorating letters. I have so many different sides to my personality and things that interest me. I live on both sides of light and dark: I love soft, cute, and pretty things and I love scary, gross, and weird things. My favorite color is black, but my hair is champagne pink. You can find this duality anywhere in my life, from the food/music/movies I consume, to the art that I make and the things I collect. I like to think I can find something I like anywhere.

Currently I am studying and practicing ceramic pottery and learning Japanese on Duolingo. I adore Japanese pottery and it is my current obsession. I am also a self taught silversmith (jewelry), have a bachelors in Horticulture, and spent 4 years learning from and working under a French pâtissier making pastries.

~+++~ I can't wait to get to swapping!! =^_^=

Favorite Music

~+++~ I love music and listen to it all day. I truly listen to all music, and love to listen to something new. I can find something I like in any genera. I particularly like it when trying to find an artist I like in a genera I don't like.

Favorite Genres: EDM, doom metal, 80's goth, classical, drum and bass

Least Favorite: bluegrass, new country, classic rock, jam band

Bands I could listen to every day: Cocteau Twins, Dead can Dance, the Cure, Gojira, Pallbearer, Tesseract, Bjork, Gorillaz, Massive Attack

Favorite Books

~+++~I just got back into reading for fun after a long time! I will read just about anything in any genera, but definitely gravitate towards fantasy. While I definitely mostly read newer romance novels, I will also throw anything into the mix and recently finished reading Killers of the Flower Moon. I try to keep up with all the trending books as well!

Favorite Genera: fantasy, mystery, horror/thriller, romance (no spice level is too high), graphic novels/manga

Favorite Books and Authors: No Country for Old Men and anything by Cormac McCarthy, Divine Rivals (Rebecca Ross), Ray Bradburry (Martian Chronicles), Berserk (Kentaro Miura)

Favorite Movies

~+++~I enjoy a wide variety of movies, but here are some films I could watch over and over: Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, The Cell, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Knight's Tale, The Labyrinth, The Departed, Seven, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Fight Club...mostly action and thriller. BUT I also love all of the studio Ghibli films, particularly Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Kiki's Deliver Service, and Princess Mononoke.

Dislikes: I was never a huge fan of disney movies, even as a kid, and have not revisited them as an adult. I don't really like cringe humor or rom-coms.

Favorite Television

~+++~I am not a big TV watcher but like some mystery/thriller and anime shows!

True Detective, Hannibal, X-Files, and Bob's Burgers are some favorite American shows

For anime I am currently watching Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw man, Spy x Family, and Hell's Paradise. Past favorites have been: Rurouni Kenshin, Ghost in the Shell, and Neon Genesis Evangelion

Favorite Crafts

~+++~ I am a BIG crafter. I take time every day to make something. Two of my major hobbies are ceramic pottery and silversmithing (jewelry). Those are the two demanding ones I am actively trying to learn and get better at.

My more casual crafts are: baking, sewing, junk journaling/letter writing, drawing, and painting (watercolor or acrylic), gardening and maintaining my houseplant collection (I have 100 plants!)

Comment: I could not have gotten luckier, getting you as my partner for this swap! The squeal I squealed when I got this ghibli-themed envelope can still be heard echoing in the white mountains. I loooove the Howl papers, and the gorgeous flip book!? I love it so much I'm not even sure what to do about it! The gold thread was a nice touch... I need to get on some flipbook sewing. All the foiled Japanese papers? The laminated art!? What? This swap was amazing. The envelope will of course be going in my decorated envelope album because it's that good. Thanks as always ;)
Response: Hahaha I am so glad you liked it that much, I had to make myself one of those note pads myself I liked it so much 😆
