About Me

UPDATE......Guess What?!?!?!? You remember the two journals of mine that were lost out in the mists somewhere? We I got both of them back!!! It's a miracle! I am so happy and life is looking pretty good right now!

I am writing this with a heavy heart. I will be leaving Swap-bot as soon as I have finished rating all my swaps. I am going to miss you all very much. I have had so much fun the last 3 years and made some very nice friends, too! I find that I am getting quite a collection of books and journals and ATCs and book pages and ephemera and trims and washi tape and paper........etc., etc, etc. And I am at the point in my life where I need to have less stuff, not more! lol I love all the goodies I have received, but I will probably never be able to use it all!
I want to say thank you to all the good people that have been my swap partners. You have made me smile, made me cry, and made me very glad to know you. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season, and maybe I'll see you again someday. If you ever need or want to get in touch, just drop me an email at grammyof18 @yahoo com. (Don't cut an paste! Enya, Moody Blues, Mannheim Steamroller, Alabama, Dixie Chicks, the Eagles, Zach Brown Band, Bing Crosby, Neil Diamond and so many more!

Favorite Books

I like mysteries most of all. Joann Fluke, Marcia Muller, Susan Wittig Albert, Dan Brown, Jeffrey Deaver, Patricia Cornwell and Greg Isles are some of my favorite authors.

Favorite Movies

Sound of Music, The Jazz Singer, all Disney movies, Second-hand Lions, UP! , Harry Potter, X-Men, Phenomenon, Miracle on 34th Street (the original), It's a Wonderful Life, The King and I (both versions), and all Shirley Temple movies.And I LOVE Mama Mia!

Favorite Television

Walking Dead, Blue Bloods, CSI, Rizzoli and Isles, Covert Affairs, Criminal MInds, The Last Ship, Suits, The Listener, Murder in the First, How to Get Away with Murder, Castle, and most of all, NCIS! (All three of them!) And now I like Intelligence, Stitchers, Madame Secretary, and Scorpion too! And I just got through watching all 15 seasons of a British show called Midsomer Murders. Great show! Now I'm watching Doctor Who, and I'm hooked already!

Favorite Crafts

Card making, scrapbooking, sewing, kid's crafts, paper crafts, rubber stamping.......I actually like all types of arts and crafts! I have started making smash books and junk journals and I think I'm in love! They are so much fun to make and I love to both give and receive them! Never got one I didn't like!

My Favorite Things

Thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales, old stamps, vintage papers and embellishments, maps, books, cookbooks, SHEEP, JellyBellies, kids, the color purple, unusual beads, handmade jewelry, handmade gifts, handmade soap, little notebooks and journals, silver jewelry, blogging, family games, denim and anything RED, WHITE and BLUE!.

Things I Don't Do.....

Coffee, tea, alcohol, smoking, flowery perfumes and lotions, nuts, coconut, polyester and nylon.

Wish List

Ephemera of all kinds, antique buttons, old lace and rick-rack, zippers, fabric, handmade books and journals, die-cuts and flower punches, old US postage stamps, dotee dolls, ATCs, sheep of all sizes and types, fabric crayons, watercolor crayons or pencils, smash books, junk journals, really OLD books, and anything made from old books!

Comment: Great envelope and fun goodies inside. I lived in Holland, Michigan for many years so am familiar with the Volendam costumes. They're worn during the Tulip Time Festival in May.

I only purchase products from companies that dont slaughter cats n' dogs in testing. PETA keeps a fab directory of alphabetical listings of whos bad and whos animal friendly. ..free at their site.
