Hi! My name is Luc (he/him) I am a student, I like to read, write, sew clothes, watch sports, travel, play boardgames and drink tea or hot cocoa.
I used to have penpals as a kid and miss it! the excitement of finding a letter in the mailbox... so I can't wait to experience that again! I am recovering from a serious health problem and decided to try and reconnect with the hobbies that brought me joy as a kid and I remembered penpals and writing letters.
I like to write poetry, prose, plays, long letters. It's what my degree is in :)
I taught myself to sew about a year ago because I needed something to do with my hands and a creative outlet (other than writing) and I love it! I mainly sew pants for myself in fun colors and patterns. (I actually mainly wear boring neutrals but fun clothes are more fun to sew, so I'm forcing myself to change my style haha)
I love to cook and go to the farmers market, I like to watch f1 and ice hockey, (oh my god and recently the olympics... obsessed)
I love to solo travel!
I've lived in a couple different countries and I love meeting new people, making new friends, learning new things. I'm very extroverted usually, but with my health problems I'm relearning to spend time by myself.
Native dutch speaker, fluent in English, trying to improve my Spanish so feel free to write to me in Spanish if that's your native language!
From the Netherlands, moved to Belgium for uni!
I read a lot of different genres but my favorites are
literary fiction without too much plot! good writing is the most important to me. I love Claire Keegan, Bernardine Evaristo, Xiaolu Guo, A. Alberts.
I also love a good detective novel (Agatha christie my fav) or a romance novel about hot athletes (lol. I'm bisexual)
love poetry by Fernando Pessoa, Federico Garcia Lorca, Babs Gons, Joost Oomen.
I would love to have at some point read a book from every country in the world, please recommend me something from your home country :)
