My mother caught our RES while fishing. She was so afraid that she'd hurt him, she couldn't bear to throw him back into the water. I'd raised sliders as a kid, so she gave him to my kids as a pet. He has his own personality--he begs for food (barks and scratches on the glass) and when he wants attention, he splashes and barks at us! LOL! blessings, Gypsy
