Wizard of Oz

I will read fiction & non-fiction, but do not like sci-fi or romance. A romance in literary fiction is fine, I just don't like over the top romance books or cheesy chick lit.

If you send me a postcard or swap: Tell me a must-read or your personal favorite(s).

I am not interested in ANYTHING political, religious!! If you send me a holiday card, please keep it non-religious -- snowmen, deer, snowflakes, Snoopy dressed as Santa, winter scenes...that kind of stuff! : ) I appreciate that!

I do not use : foam stickers , deco tape, ribbons, beads, buttons, fabric.

I DO LOVE rubber stamps. New or used. I am hardly creative with them, make lots of smears, but I still enjoy using them on postcards and letters! ; )

I enjoy postcards sent unwritten in an envelope, but "naked" is fine too - I save all postcards. Whatever's easy - you won't get a complaint from me unless there's a choice on how to send it and I have made a comment. I do not like ad cards unless they somehow relate to any of my "likes".
Typically handmade postcards are not my favorite, but I have a few really cool ones that I've received! I do not really collect vintage postcards unless they are of topics on my likes list.

I am allergic to cigarette smoke and cat hair and apples. The one scent I despise is cinnamon! Please, please, please no cinnamon scented anything!

I am not easily offended by nudity, but please keep it tasteful. I like postcards of pin-ups and nudes in art.

Please no animal cruelty, rodeos, hunting, dog or horse racing, circus and that type of thing. I am a huge animal lover. I am not a bug lover however. Spiders and bees are ok, most other bugs I can live without! That includes moths and butterflies. I do not use Ohio themed stuff either (only postcards), thank you!

I live with my husband in Columbus, OH. I got married on 2/29/12; Leap Day! Yes, on purpose. I have no children. I am from New Jersey and miss it!

We are down to a standard poodle (Lucky), a tabby cat (Tora), a tortoise and some fish. 9/16: We added PIXIE, a tortie kitten, to our family! She has the same Mama as Tora!

Said goodbye to our mini poodle Daphne on 5/8/19 and our toy poodle Pepper on 1/6/21. 😥

I love big cities and the ocean/beaches and anything to do with them. I love to travel and try to take one "big" vacation a year. My dream is to make it to Australia and The Maldives. (Of course, not in the same trip)

2023 travel: We have Florida, California and Japan set so far. NYC was end of February. Boston was in April. Planned a trip for our Leap Day anniversary trip in 2024 - we are going to Mexico City! : )

I enjoy making friends here in the USA and all over the world.

Would love a couple more committed postcard pen pals. No fun sending once or twice and then it's over, never to hear from them again.

I want to be sure everyone receives what I sent, so PLEASE let me know if you didn't get a swap from me. I will resend if necessary. I rate daily. If I will be away, I will post it on my profile. Please have the courtesy to rate me. This is part of the agreement in a swap! I want to be sure my partner gets what I've sent. Please let me make it right before rating me poorly. I have all letters and packages weighed at the post office, and will try to use stamps whenever possible. This is for fun; it is not life or death!! I am not here to rate poorly! I just want to get something in line with swap requirements in return for what I send! I will always message partners to be sure they got a swap from me if I haven't been rated. I will also let a partner know if I haven't received a swap in a reasonable amount of time. Please do the same for me! Thanks to everyone.
