You will make one homemade inspired ATC to swap with a new friend. Please take your time make it creative and use your imagination- you decide the theme.

Anyone interested in examples I suggest googling "Mixed media art" or trying anything to do with Sommerset Studios!

Please email with any questions. Anyone with more than 1 swap under there belt or with a 1000 swaps may join. Please make sure that you have no 1's in the last 3 months. I look forward to seeing everyone's creative side!

I think marking it type 1 was an accident. @travelgirl this should be type 3. :)

Hey could someone let me know who I am swaping with

twobluecrows 09/12/2013 #

@heathers38 the partner will be assigned after the sign up deadline, the host has time (up to three days, I think) to review the participant list for potential flakers, etc, then she will click the "assign partners" button and poof! You'll know who to send to! :)

Hi! I am a newbie. Could you tell me more about ATC. Like what size they should be, what kind of paper they should be on and do you decorate one or both sizes?

Thanks!

@Alyak ATC: Artist Trading Card. They are 2.5” x 3.5” (6.5cm x 9cm) artworks. Should be created on stiff paper (or mounted onto a stiff paper; often card stock or playing cards or …) so that they will be sturdy. The medium used to create the art/design/pattern will depend on the instructions of the swap (e.g., craft punch, a specific color, butterflies, fabric). The biggest thing is probably “no sticker slapping” (simply putting one or more stickers on a piece of paper and calling it an ATC creation). Naturally there are tons of sites out there to explore for finding out info on ATCs. Here are two: http://www.ehow.com/how4524510make-artist-trading-cards.html; http://gomakesomething.com/category/ht/atcs/. The back should include title of your ATC, date, artist (your Swap-bot user name [& your real name, if you like], and the name of the swap. You can decorate the sides, too, if you like.

I love my latest typo: "you can decorate the sides, too, if you like." LOL!! I meant to type "back" not "sides" (I started typing "both sides" and changed my mind!!).

There is a very helpful, informative thread about ATCs in the Newbie Helper group.

@CarlaDMG Thanks for the info! Also, I am having a difficult time uploading my picture for my bio page. Is there some trick to it? I've tried many times with no luck. :)
