Number of swap partners:1
Description:

I figure we all have at least ONE classic novel on our TBR's or bookshelves at home. Maybe it's a first time read or a re-read, but if you have one on your list, this is the swap for you! Do not add a new book to your TBR for this one, though! The idea is to tackle the TBR, not add to it. :)

You must read the book after this swap is listed. If you can't finish the book before the send by date, just let your partner know that and your thoughts about the book so far. Go ahead and start on the book now! You don't have to wait!

Choose any classic novel from your TBR and list the title and author in the comments section below and pledge to read it before the send by date. Once partners are assigned,

send your partner an EMAIL and

list the title and author of the book you pledged to read along with a summary of the book (can be from the back of the book, Amazon, GoodReads...) and

then your thoughts of the book after reading it. If it's a re-read, maybe you want to try listening to the audio version of the book for a different feeling? Or maybe you want to try the audio version anyway. You can read or listen to any book that is considered a classic and is on your TBR.

Attach a copy of your TBR to the email, as required with other swaps in this group.

Then send the EMAIL off to your partner! Send on time and if you have to be late, message your partner and me to let us know when you will be sending! Even though this is an email swap, you can still be rated down for not following requirements.

Remember to rate your partner when you receive your partner's email.

If you have any questions or comments, please send me a PM and ask! I will respond as soon as I can. :)

If you don't list a book in the comments section by the time I assign partners, you'll be dropped from the swap. The idea is to pledge to read the book and follow through.

I pledge to finally read The Decameron, by Giovanni Boccaccio. I think it might be the oldest book on my list (published in 1353) so I'm super excited!

I'm going to read 'The Moonstone' by Wilkie Collins

Hi all,

Please ignore my previous comment! I've just realised that by the 9th September I need to read three classics on my TBR list -- 'Little Dorrit' by Charles Dickens, 'Silas Marner' by George Eliot and 'Robert Elsmere' by Mrs. Humphrey Ward! So if it's all right with all of you, I'll report back on one or maybe all three of those. 'The Moonstone' will have to wait! I have 'Little Dorrit' as both a print book and an audiobook, but the audio is 32 hours long so I'll probably read all three as print. 'Silas Marner' is a reread from many years ago; the other two are new to me.

I'll read "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Thank you for being patient with me. I was holding out to commit on this book. I have decided to read The Histories by Herodotus.
