I've been enjoying watching Lisa Curcio's YouTube channel. She's a Stampin' Up demonstrator and her cards are easy & fun. I thought you might like to try a few with me. :). She's been doing a "Bring it to Life" card series. The card we'll make for this swap is from Episode #9. I'll host some of the other episodes later. Her set up is from when she did them live. If you happen to have any leftover adhesive label paper from some of my other paper strips/scraps cards, it works great with this technique. Feel free to PM me if you want some adhesive label paper; I'll send some for the cost of one first class stamp. Below is the link to her YouTube video. Lisa's Card Layout #9 - Bring it to Life Series Below is a link to her blog & the card sketch w/measurements. She features all Stampin' Up products, but you can use any supplies/papers you want. It's optional if you want to embellish the card further (ribbon, etc.). Please add a "thinking of you, hello, etc." type greeting on the top part of the card. For my card (see swap photo) on the white top piece, I stamped a thinking of you and then dry embossed it. I also added a thin sparkly gold strip horizontally just above the 4 vertical papers.] Since these cards are really easy to make, we'll make 2 of them; 1 for each partner. You get to decide if you want your partners to write to you inside the card, or you want it left blank so they can use it for someone else. Please put your choice in the comments below. If you have any questions at all, please let me know. Otherwise, have fun watching Lisa's video and making your cards. :) P.S. Sorry for the long write-up; I was composing as I typed it. :). |
