about me eh? oh jeeze.. okay, well i recently moved to the northwest territories (i'm in the arctic realm of canada, still trying to figure out how the hell THAT happened?) I love collecting stuff, i'm a packrat extrodinaire... kind of artsy, kind of neurrotic (but in an endearing loveable sort of way, i swear!) i work as a community social worker on a small aboriginal reserve, i love animals, reading, watching movies, nature, and dabbling in creative hobbies. i just scored this wicked book on 108 ways to turn old t-shirts into fabulous new clothing, amazing! i recently discovered the joys of swapping stuff with other people, and am quite honestly floored i didn't think to search for this kind of stuff later - how exciting! a great way to keep busy in the 11 months of winter up here! (okay that was a slight exageration, it's probably more like 8 months. ha!) anyway, looking forward to swapping stuff with you folks out there in internet land.
music? oh man ... how can you pick one genre when there are just so many tasty tidbits from various artists - everything from gospel to rock, blues and folk to make your ears bleed screaming death metal ... i LOVE it all !
ok ok you want a few names? in no particular order the first 10 that come to mind ...
books! ohhhh dear god where do i start?
im a huge avid reader .. love to read. anything, everything
case histories, anything to do with the mind, psychology, philosophy, i LOVE humerous fiction
some of my favourite writers, again, in no particular order
-christopher g. moore -j.d. salinger -jack kerouac -chuck palahniuk -william s. burroughs -irvine welsh -hunter s. thompson -Kurt Vonnegut
the list goes on (..and on.. and on..)
oh, PS if you love this site, checkout www.bookmoocher.com it's the same philosophy as this - but with books :D
ok... i could go at this all day. let's just break it down into genres with top three picks of the day (there are absolutely so many that the picks would have to alternate on a daily basis because it would be absolutely too frustrating to italicize THREE in total , for each genre and say they are the be all end all.. nope. cant do it. just too many!
Horror (an all time favourite genre) 1. Zombie Strippers 2. Jack Brooks, Monster Slayer 3. 1001 Maniacs
Comedy 1. 4 rooms 2. The Great Outdoors 3. Beverly Hills Ninja
Action 1. Die Hard 2. Turner and Hootch 3. Tango and Cash
Suspense 1. Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal/Red Dragon 2. Se7en 3.Psycho
Drama 1. Shawshank Redepmtion 2. One flew over the cukoo's nest 3. Lolita
I will now finish off with a list of the first top ten amazing movies i can think of that i definitly would love to go home and watch!
this is the part where i tell you a bit of random stuff that... well.. is awesome.
ok lets see... i'm totally into tattoos, at the moment i have an entire back piece on the go from nape of neck to tailbone, it's hawaiian themed with a gorgeous pin up girl in a grass skirt with tiki torches, jungles, palm trees, cute cartoony skulls etc. i have a huge arm piece of the cartoon version of lydia from beetlejuice and plan to get beetlejuice being chased by sandworms to finish off the piece and make it a full half sleeve.
umm my other arm has a huge grinning chesire cat (sort of dark alice in wonderland theme.) with a big blue moon behind him.. umm.. i have my legs all inked up, the one is all poster pin up girls, cartoon character ghoulie girls, and the other leg is scary things you might find in a robert munch on crack sort of theme. :) it's pretty sweet. all works in progress.
umm... i just got rid of my synthetic dreads that i had for years and years :(
if i could make a career out of being either a harajuku girl OR a totally super sweet over the top fantastic drag queen i'd do it (just for the makeup and the shoes... OOh and the fun coloured clothes ;P ...)
as it stands now, i just dress in obnoxious bright colours, contrasting patterns, and i don't care if i am pushing 30 - i'll never outgrow my fairy wings, princess crown or rediculous 6 inch stiletto shoes and platform boots i wear :) (PS ive been doing that since way before the spicegirls deemed it cool. bahaha)
i love, love, LOVE animals .. i have 4 cats at home, and where i live now (some 4000kms away from my home..) i own a little Pug named Mulan and I just adopted a kitten who is thus far nameless,
i believe in karma, auras, the power of gems and crystals, spiritual infestations/hauntings, the power of empathy, and sarcasm.
i'm sure i'll randomly add to this portion of my profile but for now, i guess that sums it up.
well i see everyone is encouraged to put up a wish list of stuff they'd like so here's mine.... I collect knick nacks and random baubles, little toys are neat (kinder egg suprises, or the stuff you got as 'treat of the week' from McDonalds when you were a kid), pins, sharpie pens, scrapbook stuff, anything flamingo or hawaii theme, lunch boxes, garbage pail kids or other 80s memorbilia, anything emily the strange, cartoony/dark girly stuff like 'ruby gloom' or 'lenore the poor little dead girl', hello kitty, harajuku related anything, baby barettes, nail polish, anything BRIGHT and COLOURFUL, rubber duckies, notebooks, stickers, anything skull related, neat bright colours of eyeshadow or liner, flavoured lip gloss, things that are unique to the area where you live,

Thank you for the friend add! I hope to swap with you again soon!
Your profile sounds fantastic and I'm so jealous about your tattoos. I would love to have complete sleeves, but it's way too expensive here. Where have you lived before you moved to the ice-cold part of Canada? And I'm really excited about the ATC I will get from you.
Greetings from Berlin, Germany. Mia
