I'm a huge nerd/geek: I'm into everything from Star Trek-Doctor Who crossovers to the sociology behind our culture's off-and-on obsession with zombies (seriously. People write text books on the topic.) I'm also a proud Slytherin, in case any Harry Potter fans were wondering. ;)

I make webcomics. Badly. So far, my webcomics all have to do with venting about my chronic illness or mental issues (spoiler: I'm a mess). I'm just starting out, but if you're interested, you can check them out at @ nerdincolor on Instagram.

I'm stuck in a constant battle against chronic illness, which makes me something of a shut-in. Most days, I would rather laugh than cry about it, but it does make life a little lonely. I signed up for Swap Bot in the hopes of finding some snail mail socialization to replace the in-person version.

I'm happily married with no children (and no intention of having children - I much prefer to be the eccentric aunt). My husband and I share our home with three cats: Castiel, Esmerelda, and Akido. The cats are in charge.

I'm a total superwholockian, if you know what that means (In other words, I thrive on Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Supernatural).

The re-booted She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (on Netflix). It's a quality show with great representation and empowering characters.

I also love the genre of Cheesy Superhero - shows like the 1960's Batman starring Adam West or the more recent Amazon Prime series The Tick.

I love practically anything by Terry Pratchett, but I particularly enjoy his Tiffany Aching series and the book Mostrous Regiment.

The graphic novel series Girl Genius by Phil and Kaja Foglio is also to die for - so deliciously steampunk and infused with killer wit.

I also appreciate well-researched historical literature about any era (of the non-fiction sort). I'm currently reading They Can't Kill Us All by Wesley Lowery and Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond.

Art! Especially animation-style art. Drawing/Coloring/Inking supplies are always on my wishlist.

Comics! I love mainstream comics (Marvel, DC...) but also more obscure stuff. My faves are (New52) Harley Quinn from DC, Wolverine from Marvel, and Girl Genius by the Foglios.

All things Disney, but ESPECIALLY Disney villains

Almost all academics? If there's a good nerdy discussion about it, I am all here for it. Whether that be science, math, history, literature....

Languages. As in all of them. I'm fascinated with everything from different scripts to analyzing intonation patterns and etymology. I'm also down with receiving mail in Spanish or Chinese, if anybody's up for that.

Religious paraphernalia- please don't send me religious themed stuff.
