Hello there & thanks for stopping by ππ!
Lets see....I was born & raised in the 808 π΄πΊππ₯₯π§π€ ...was transplanted in the PNW π²ββππ¦ nearly 20 yrs ago (hubby retired here from the Navy), where we remain today - we love it up here! I've dabbled in many different crafts in the past but have mainly stuck with sewing (mainly handy things to use around the house or bags), origami, and other paper crafts (card making, Silhouette Cameo, die cuts, embossing, sticker making to name a few).
Though I'm a child of the 80's, I dig retro stuff from the 60's-70's (fabric, household stuff, colors, interior design, toys, music, etc...you know, all that tacky/kitschy π© that people wrinkle their noses at). I collect vintage Pyrex dishes, tiki mugs, & 70's bed linens. I also love anything Japanese or related to Japan πΈπ±π£β©π―π΅
I miss getting personal πβ that doesn't fall into the category of bills & junk mail.
Connecting with other like-minded folks.
Crafting things that bring joy to others.
I haven't been in much swaps since I joined Swap-bot but the swaps I did participate in was great fun & I hope to continue where I left off.
πΆ 80's New Wave/Goth/Darkwave/New Romantic/Punk/Rock, Classical, some Hvy Metal, Synth-Pop, J-Pop, Indie, 40s-70's era, Japanese (Enka), Hawaiian, some Grunge πΆ
I make it a point to communicate w/ my swapper/sender if there are any problems. I believe it's important to keep each other on the same page to avoid any confusion, misinformation, or false assumptions.
On re-swapping: I appreciate ANY swap item regardless of who made it, however, if you're sending me a swap which YOU DID NOT make with your own creative hands, I would hope that you'd at least have the courtesy to let me know in a note w/ your swap - don't steal the credit of someone who spent their time creating, it's just uncool & such a dick move. On the same note, I don't mind anyone re-swapping the items I've made (I can't please everyone right?). Just let the person know you're re-swapping & that you did not create it - seems pretty fair to me.
I've an open-mind when it comes to receiving and I'll allow extra time (within reason) if needed, I understand that anything can happen in real life and your real life should always come first & foremost! Just let me know if you're gonna be late so we can be on the same page.
If it's beyond the due date and you still haven't been rated by me, it's probably a good indication that I haven't received your mail yet - I've always rated as soon as I get a swap, mainly because I'm uber excited about it π.
If you haven't received my swap by the due date, please let me know as soon as you can so I can re-send ASAP. I'd be so grateful if you could give me the opportunity to resend before you give me a π - as with life, sometimes there are situations that are beyond our control> crappy mail delivery, pkg delivered to the wrong address for whatever reason (it happens), crappy neighbors or people who take other people's mail, etc.
