About Me
A little about me-
*** in August of 16 I did a back to school Pinterest board swap ( which I thought I had completed I sent the link in good faith)and then I took a break from swapbot for a awhile... when I came back in July of 17 I had a 1 rating because my partner had not received the email link. I contacted them and resent and had it changed to a 3 rating. It is the only 3 that I have and I have had several five ratings with hearts on type 3 swaps since then. Unfortunately even though I have done several swaps since then I still haven't made it back to a 5 rating but I will continue to work toward it and have fun***
β€ I love to craft surprises to make people in my life smile.β€ I have tried my hand at anything between scrapbooks to shadow boxes.* I am intrested in pocket letters and post cards. I love butterflies π¦,woodland creatures like foxes and hedgehogs and also fantasy like mermaids, fairies, pixies and pirates! I love beachy types of colors- think blue green of the ocean with the tan/white of the sand. I like mermaids,pirates, pixies, fairies, and unicorns. *I find myself taking photos at events involving my boys and I really enjoy capturing unposed moments.I love being helpful and am involved in my community. I am on my County Fair board, part of our local fire department, take photos for our community youth football teams, also for wrestling,track,football and any other sport my boys play. I have been a teacher - for elementary age boys at a school for children on the Autism Spectrum and I LOVED my students. My students were challenging but so very smart and loving!! We had so much fun.* * I have even been known to dabble in cosplay. *
Favorite crafts:All kinds.... depending on my mood or activity . I love to read... romance, young adult, Harry Potter, A Wrinkle in Time, educational, even cook books.** l am a Potter head!!!** I don't really get into thrillers or blood and gore though.... Movies- I am a Disney fan. Finding Nemo and The little Mermaid are my favorites but I also enjoy Pixar movies, dramas,comedy, and even the Lifetime movies. Pirates of the Caribbean, Fantastic Beasts, any of the Harry Potter movies. ;) TV-my current favorite is Lemony Snickets Series of Unfortunate Events. I also enjoy Once upon A Time, True Blood, Downtown Abbey,NCIS, Criminal Minds and most shows on the food network. I don't watch reality TV. Crafts-scrapbook mostly. I am addicted to ribbon and washi tape. :) *I love chocolate and caramel, and chocolate and mint. I like to drink hot cocoa and occasionally coffee with flavored creamers but am not a fan of tea.(My son is a big fan of tea so I share with him lol) *I love to take photos. My camera is like an extension of my body and I am rarely without it. I mostly photograph my boys and their sports or family or of stuff for our fire department.
With all of that mentioned above I am not really picky, my tastes are random and varied. So I will most likely enjoy anything sent to me. :)

Hello from Florida! Here in my house we are all Potter Heads as well. Since we live in Florida we have annual passes to Universal Studies, and of course our favorite part of the park is Harry Potter land. It is AMAZING! You really feel like you are in the story. And the butter beer, OMG! Pure heaven! Happy swapping!

It sounds like your boys keep you pretty busy. I miss my girls being home. The soccer games, the dance practices, band, chorus... I actually miss hauling them and their friends around. That's not nostalgia... I enjoyed it at the time.
They are all grown up and out on their own. We have a little granddaughter though, who I get to spend a lot of time with. When we head out into the woods on an adventure, her mother tells me to be careful with her. She remembers some of the things she and I did when she was a toddler. Well, she lived.
Our first real snow of the season is just winding down now. I'll go out shortly, clean up some snow and then go for a little snowshoe. There isn't really enough to need snowshoes, we got about 6" and it has packed to less than 4 already, but I'll put them on and make some tracks anyway.
Our older daughter is a bit sad. She woke up to three inches of snow and it promptly turned to rain. By noon, it was all gone. That's what she get for living on Cape Cod. It never stays o the ground there. After living there for seven years, one would think that she would have figured that out by now.
I'm guessing that you are reading this and thinking you are glad you live where you do. There are a lot of people around here that moan and groan about the snow. I keep telling them they can move to Florida but few of them ever do.
