I'm Brandi from Texas. I love the idea of being able to communicate with friends across the world. The more we try to understand and love each other, the better this world will become.

I am a wife to a wonderful man and a mother to 2 young children, a 8 year old girl and 6 year old boy. I'm also a cat mom to a 15 year old cat named Bobbie and a kitten named Mr. Bojangles. My son calls him Mr. Jingles since we got him for Christmas.

Year around on the weekend you can find me at my family's lake house. Most of the time I do not have service on my phone and therefore no internet. If you try to contact me, and I do not respond right away it's probably because I am without service. I'll respond as soon as I have service once again.

I love movies. I tend to like the movie festival, low budget, indie types films. You know the ones that collect dust on the library shelf. I don't have Netflix or cable and do get the majority of the movies I watch at my local library. I will use Redbox from time to time and I will catch one at the theater on occasion. Some all time favorites of mine include Labyrinth, Dirty Dancing, The Notebook, Amélie, The Goonies, The Breakfast Club, BIG, Forrest Gump, A League of their Own, The Money Pit, The Green Mile, Splash ( An obvious Tom Hanks Fan), The Princess Bride, Roxanne...

As a child of the 80s and growing up during the 90s the music during these years rock my soul. I love Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews Band. I discovered Bob Marley in college. His music and message spoke to me.

Since I am from Texas, I have a bit of country in me...but I am a fan of good country like Garth Brooks, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Brooks and Dunn, & Alan Jackson. I am not a fan of the Luke Bryan types of the recent days.

The classic Rock genre is always good too: Pink Floyd, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Elton John.

Lately I've been discovering new artist on Amazon Music. At work I like to listen to things with very little words. I've discovered I really dig Phutureprimitive, Beats Antique, and Lindsey Stirling.

I like math...and it is not because it makes people cry but I did find this meme funny. I also like humor and grumpy cats.

Postcards

I'm pretty easy to please as far as postcards. I would love something that you would like to receive. This gives me a peek into you. I am not a person who is easily offended; nudity, profanity, oddities and extremities do not bother me.

Send the card naked or in a envelope, it doesn't matter to me on how it makes it's journey.

Tea and coffee

I love it! I like Black tea over green tea. Earl Grey would be on the top of my favorite list. I like herbal teas as well, especially lavender and licorice. I am not fond of any teas with hibiscus as it is just too tart for me! Same goes for cinnamon I'm just not that into "spicy".

I haven't met a coffee that I could not drink.

I love to read, I just wish I had more time to do it.

I also taught myself how to crochet about 10 years ago and will get an itch to create something, especially when a baby is expected.

I started doodling here recently and find it enjoyable when I can find the time to practice. I've recently started water colors too and enjoy the forgiving nature of the medium.

A wish list of sorts: anything tie-dyed, butterflies, hummingbirds, fairies, Garfield, Marvin the Martian, fun stickers, buttons for sewing and crochet projects, Christmas ornaments (handmade esp), coffee, tea, yarn, flip flops (ladies Large), fun socks (my daughter is catching on and stealing mine), blank note cards, mechanical pencils, blank postcards, clear packing tape, wings, world peace, a quite night every once and a while ...
