FAVORITE MUSIC Favorite music is rock n roll. My husband had his own band (he was a singer) and did all great rock and roll music. I really miss him & going to Saturday night dances.

FAVORITE AUTHORS My favorite author is Fern Michaels of the Sisterhood Series of books. I like to read everything. I have thousands of books at home and I am a member of Bookcrossing. The members of Bookcrossing believe that all books should be read and traveled across the world. You put a unique number on the book and then the people/person who receives it, goes on the bookcrossing web site and journals where they found/received it. UPDATE: I received a Nook from my grandchildren for Christmas. So far, I love it. It's like carrying a library in your purse.

FAVORITE MOVIES I only have one favorite movie (I can't sit still long enough to watch movies) Weekend at Bernies.
UPDATE: My son got me a copy of this movie for Christmas so I can watch it all the time.

FAVORITE CRAFTS Crafts, I do almost everything except Quilt. I will learn how to do that eventually when I have more time. I knit, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, paint and my newest craft at this time is card making. UPDATE: One of my brother's friends gave me an unfinished quilt to put the backing on. Now I definitely have to learn how to quilt. If you want to send me Yarn, please nothing frogged or from a smoking household. So if it smells, please don't send it to me. Any color, kind, or brand is welcome. I also welcome any card making items, ribbons, stickers, etc. I have now added washii tape to this list. I love it now that I know how to use it. FILL MY STOCKING PEOPLE: I am trying to be good and save all my presents till Christmas.

I have found a number of charity's to which I can send my knitting and my cards. Snug Hugs for Kids in Illinois, is the major one that I crochet/knit for at the moment. Operation Write Home has been shut down because many of the service people are now coming home. Plus I make quite a few items, like hats, shawls and afghans for the people at the hospital where I used to work.

GENERAL INFO I love getting mail and that I how I found this site. I like almost everything and pinks are my favorite color. I have four children, (all boys) six grandchildren (4 girls & 2 boys) and I love doing all sorts of sports and crafts with all of them. My sons still play softball and I watch every game that I can go see.

ALLERGIES I am happy to say that all my allergies have gone away. I was allergic to seafood for about 25-30 years, but that seems to have gone away.

I am lucky to only have been flaked on avirus few times. I am deleting my flaker list as it happened awhile ago. I have their names and they won't be allowed in my swaps, but for now I forgive them. They are still banned from any of my future swaps. I just knew that once I removed this flaker list that it would start again. And....again, it was one of the swaps that I was looking forward to receiving the most. Flaked on again, and with such a simple one stamp swap. What can you do?

I do all kinds of crafts, especially crocheting. I am also big into cardmaking at the present. I also do knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, plastic canvas. I have joined a church group that is making sleeping mats for our homeless population. They are crocheting the mats out of plastic bags cut into strips that is called "plarn". Really cool to work with. One would think that there shouldn't be a homeless population here in Florida.

It is that time of year when I am so grateful that I moved South. So glad that I am back swapping. It really helps with depression when you are creating for someone else.

I really don't have many things that I dislike. Please don't send items:
