Hi! My name is Dani and I am from Texas. I am the single mom to a 9 year old boy. I would say he is little but he is almost as tall as I am. I love to send and receive mail so I know swapping will be perfect for me. I love to take pictures and collect postcards. I am also going to start learning how to do different crafts! I have recently started to blog and I would love for people to follow me!

Favorite Music

I am a HUGE music lover! I love to find songs that I can relate to in my life. Right now my current love is Christina Perri...she is AMAZING!!!

Favorite Books

Reading is pretty much my favorite thing to do! I love to read fiction books. I love happy/sad books. Ha ha does that make sense? I love Kristen Hannah, her books are happy/sad books. Her book True Colors and Firefly Lane made me sob, but they also made me laugh. I don't like westerns or sci-fy books.

Favorite Crafts

I love my camara, taking pics of everything, scrapbooking, or making collage frames. I am really wanting to learn how to do different crafts. I always want to do things, but I am not very artistic....I want to change that!

i was in texas recently! so sad to hear that 252 out of the 254 counties have been affected by fires this year! such drought - as an aussie, we can definitely relate to!

i love taking photos of everythings too and learn how to do different crafts. it's so much fun!

i'm more of a non-fiction reader these days so i haven't heard of Kristen Hannah and her books.

As far as swapping and crafting, I think it is just like anything else in life, " The more you do it, The better you become" So don't give up, I love paper crafts and journals myself, But have since been learning more mediums since Swapbot. I read that you're learning to craft. I did the same think 2 years ago. I decided to have a handmade Christmas and learned how to sew and crochet. I have lots of tutorials on my blog if you're needing some inspiration. I also recommend Stitch n Bitch to learn how to knit or crochet-they're super helpful!

I love reading, too. I haven't tried any Kristin Hanna yet. It's love stories (sort of), right? Do you know "After River" by Donna Milner? I really liked it.

I don't feel very artistic either. I could cry if I see what I've drawn or painted. But this is going to change! Let's be artsy! :-)
