About Me
May/June 2019 - I will be traveling frequently through June 15 so there may be delays in my being able to rate incoming swaps. Please feel free to message me if you have any concerns!

I love sending and receiving mail, and I enjoy crafty things as well (see "Favorite Crafts"!) Photography is one of my favorite hobbies, although sadly most of my photos live only on my hard drive these days. :(
I'm a member of postcrossing.com and enjoy connecting with people all over the world through swapping postcards. I used to live in San Diego, and loved attending meetups there.
I love travel and anything travel related. One of my goals in life is to always have a current/valid Passport - then the potential for adventure is always there!
For swaps, I tend to participate only in flat, 1-stamp swaps. I prefer to keep my postage budget on the more modest side, and I really don't have the space for much "stuff." :) .

Favorite Crafts
Photography, scrapbooking, Zentangle, digital scrapbooking and design, rubber stamping, sewing, writing, blogging, knitting & quilting. I visit Pinterest when I want more ideas than I can create in a lifetime. :) .

- art - paintings, sculptures, quilts, anything really
- bright and bold colors, especially cool colors (black, purple, blue, green and dark reds)
- travel, transportation (especially trains), scenery, art, architecture
- flowers, florals, trees
- ocean, beach, seaside
- National Parks (U.S. or other countries)
- England, English stuff, "Look Right!" and "Mind the Gap"
- anything Dutch, as my mother and grandparents are from there! Delft, Tulips, etc. Unfortunately, I don't speak/read/write much Dutch, so please send any messages in English. :)
- reading, words, thoughtful quotes
- finding surprises in my mailbox .
Dislikes
I dislike...
- creepy things (insects, spiders, snakes, etc.)
- depictions of violence, gore, etc.
- sexually explicit material (tasteful/artful nudity is fine)
- I'm not really an animal lover, so although I love flowers and plants, and don't mind most animals, they aren't a favorite subject of mine .
Mailing Preferences
ATC: If you are sending an ATC, you need not send it in a protective sleeve as I save all my received cards in larger album pages for cards so I can enjoy them.
POSTCARDS: For postcard swaps, naked and addressed cards are fine, no envelope needed.
Please don't send ephemera (paper odds and ends) as I haven't been doing much crafting where I can make use of them and I'm VERY limited on space. I do love collecting postcards for my Postcrossing and swap-bot swaps, and it is always a delight to find mail in the box with decorated envelopes, but I really don't expect anything extra with your swap - please give it your best, and mail on time.
I am not a stamp collector, so any ordinary stamp will do! I know there are many stamp collectors on swap-bot, so I will not mind at all if you hoard your stamps for someone else (or yourself!) :) .

*** 8/23/2015 *** I have been having some issues with swaps taking a super long time to get to people - one sent within the USA took 3.5 WEEKS! To make matters worse, I've just learned today that at least one swap-bot private message didn't get to me either! AGH! I've been meticulously tracking all my swaps and I usually take a photograph of swaps and the addressed envelopes/postcards before sending, so please do your best to let me know if something isn't reaching you. .

Hi! I'm glad to know another Pinterest addict! And I'm glad I'm your sending partner in the Nice Profile Comment Swap! I read mostly non-fiction, so if you ever want a book recommendation, I'll try to help! Photography? That sounds wonderful! I use my phone to capture patterns in nature... I have a collection, but other than that...lol;) Hugs!
Nice to meet you! I've never met so many people who are interested in the Royal Family and the UK until I started getting to know people on swapbot. We share many similar interests, including a love of travel and photography. I love Pinterest, but sometimes it gives me idea anxiety.
