I like an eclectic mix of musical styles: folk, punk, classical, classic R & B.
I love to read. I discovered Jim Butcher's Dresden Files while reading a swap partner's profile. Bonus! I adore Agatha Christie. I love classic thrillers from writers like Dashiell Hammett. I love Shakespeare, Dickens, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Asimov, Heinlein, Tolkien, C. S. Lewis. I read new books, too. I've read the Game of Thrones series.
So I found out there is a genre for the kind of scifi I've been reading--urban fantasy. TV shows sited for examples are "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and "Charmed."
I am a film buff (read: snob) so I love film noir, Classic Hollywood, modern directors like Spike Lee or Ang Lee or Peter Jackson. Love scary movies and thrillers, classic movie monsters like Dracula. I dislike slasher movies, gore, torture porn. I love sci, even if it's terrible.
Love The Simpsons. 30 Rock. Jeopardy. I watch a lot of British comedies. Just discovered the UK version of "Being Human". LOVE Louis CK.
I'm ADDICTED to " House of Cards" with Kevin Spacey. I'm also hooked on the British version from the 90s.
"Orange is the New Black", "Brooklyn Nine Nine", NFL football.
I'm a paper crafter. My mentors are Tim Holtz and Martha Stewart. I spend waaaaay too much time and money at Archivers. ATCs are fun and fast. I like altered art, especially altered books. My husband is a postcard collector and when he goes to ephemera shows he always picks up a goody or two for me. I also get a lot of inspiration from the Stampington & Company magazines. I have a little home studio which makes it easy to make gifts or cards, and to pop in and out of long-term projects. I like to upcycle or repurpose materials like cardboard, ephemera old and new, and found objects. I wish I had the patience to learn to sew!
Anything Tim Holtz
