I'm trying not to give up. ;_;

I have an ongoing RAK : Give me themes, I'll draw you an ATC.

Current status : [Closed]

Progress on current requests :

  • LilysMama : Still sketching
  • Mayje : Needs address
  • Ruie : Inked

Please please please communicate with me if you do not receive something I sent and I haven't contacted you. I tend to send a worried note after a month in transit. I will make it right. Be aware I am shipping from Canada. I have had mail to the US take over a month to get there.

I drop my mail in a mailbox, unless a stamp won't cover postage. Mail is picked up from Monday through Friday. This means it's possible the postmark will show a later date than when I mark sent depending on when my mail makes its way to the local sorting center.

I rate promptly : usually the same day I receive but sometimes I delay to the closest weekend after, only if it's hectic at work. I rate according to swap-bot's rating guidelines.

I do not give a heart for extras. I do not send extras for a heart. I do not decorate my envelopes. I want to keep my swaps as light as possible (and as requirements allow) to save on postage.

If I haven't rated you within a month of you sending, please contact me. It probably means I don't have your swap in my hands yet but you never know. Maybe I relapsed into my chronic problem of piling mail up until the end of the month.

I strive to be a good host. Helpful advice is always welcome. Thank you to those who have commented and helped me along the way.

I like the idea of public swaps, if only to help newbies gather ratings, and will do my best to weed out questionable swappers and keep my swaps safe.

I will angel when necessary. All my swaps do mention "If you are interested and available to angel if needed, please let me know." This is meant as a precaution should I be unable to angel due to Real Life happening.

If you need an angel for ATC swaps, you can e-mail me with the theme. I'll probably be able to help. :)

Me, Myself and I

  • Cat lover, owner of two (or owned by two)
  • Red wine over white 🍷
  • Sake, soju, umeshu

  • Tea leaves over tea bags, black and oolong + matcha
  • Compulsive doodler
  • Written/stamped postcards collector
  • Bookmarks collector
  • Avid Netflixer and Crunchyroller
  • Manga (and the odd scanlation) reader
  • Native French speaker
  • Sucker for homemade soaps
  • Going through a relapse of depression but I fight on ! 💪
  • A bit shy
  • New-ish to swaps (I used to swap often ~10 years ago)

ATCs information

  • Private swaps ? Yes please ! Contact me to set something up.
  • Time spent on an ATC : anywhere from 45 minutes to over an hour between initial idea and finished product
  • I suck at backgrounds something fierce. I apologise about that. I'm trying to get better at it but it's a long and dark road.
  • There are no spoilers on my Instagram account. I only post process and finished product pics after my ATCs are in the hands of partners.
  • I prefer to receive hand-drawn/hand-painted ATCs but welcome everything. I am however not very fond of very bulky ATCs. I stick by the rule "If I can fit it in a sleeve, it's all good".
  • I prefer my ATCs in portrait orientation : 2.5" at the top and 3.5" on the side

Comment: Wow, all that candy - I do love candy corn, but....!! Thanks for another great Halloween ATC :)
Response: When I got to colouring, I wasn't too happy with having drawn all that candy corn ! It turned out nice in the end so it's all good.
Comment: Ooh I loove this ATC of Sarutobi! Though I've never watched Gintama my brother (aka. anime watching buddy) was thinking of watching so maybe I'll be seeing it soon!! And I haven't mentioned it yet, but I love your stationary set. Soo pretty and snazzy, I love it! Thank you so much for hosting all these awesome swaps!!
Response: Gintama is a pretty good series if you want to turn your brain off for a while. I love how it balances ridiculous, basic humour stuff with pretty serious story arcs here and there. :) I get the stationary from Vistaprint FYI. Thanks to you for joining in !

Comment: Omigoodness!! Thank you so much for the fantastic Howl's Moving Castle ATC, Elisabeth!! I love it!! And I definitely think almost getting eaten by a cat is a good thing - it sounds very Howl. 🤣 (And the stamp is also gorgeouss! I've never seen it before! Will definitely be saving that one for my collection!).
Response: I'm so glad you like it ! I hadn't seen the movie in a long while so I had it on when I was colouring the ATC. It made me want to read the book again too ! (The set of stamps was available for sale some years ago. I found them again while cleaning a drawer.)

Response: I'm so glad you love my take on the Dark Magician, he was such fun to draw. The Baden ATC is for the Mobile game ATC swap though... Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough in my note. I sent both together to save a bit on shipping.

Comment: I love her; she's so brave flying with ghosts (is that a black ghost smoking a cigarette - and what's with the red? Looks like a target, lol)
Response: Thank you ! And lol, no, that black thing is actually my little witch's floating eye pet/companion. The "target" is his big eyeball. I forgot to explain in my note !

Comment: Thanks for a fun ATC swap derakisu. Your Autumn Witch illustration is wonderful. I'm impressed with the detail. I'm also impressed with your personalized note paper and your ATC sticker, and the envelope. You have an eye for design. Cool 'Haunted Canada' postage stamp. I'll have to look for those when I'm at the post office next time. Nice touch. Thanks so much! :)
Response: I wanted to be a graphic designer for a while and almost returned to school for a change of career. I love design so much. :) Oh, and I don't think these stamps are still available. It's from a set I found while cleaning up a drawer. I think they are from a year or two ago...?
