I am a "woman of a certain age"; happily married with 4 grown sons and 6 grand-children. I am a Cardiac ICU RN by trade (night shift/every weekend), and a mixed media artist. I have studied Illustration at RISD, and have had my work shown in several local galleries. I am a mail art fanatic who loves to trade ATCs but also "larger" formats such as Journal Pages and Post-cards. I have recently started making OOAK costume jewelry from old belts, necklaces, whatevers, and hope to open an Etsy shop soon. You can check out my Facebook gallery link to see my work.
Hubby and I enjoy motorcycle touring (2-up, I don't drive my own bike). We play pool, and belong to both an 8-ball and a 9-ball team. We recently moved into a "house in the country" (well for US it's the country).
I mostly use colored pencils & markers for smaller work. I LOVE collage but like to add a few hand drawn elements. I have finally gotten the hang of painting and really enjoy watercolors. I stand in awe of anyone who can use a computer for their art! Here's my wish list: I collect vampire ATCs. Any medium. I LOVE all kinds of paper! I have boxes of different vintage pictures, advertisements, hand-made and printed papers and am always happy to receive more of the same. Glass beads and charms (vintage or new) Tiny items that can be made into charms for bracelets.

Books: Fantasy; LOTR, Harry Potter series, anything Vampire-ish Mystery; Val McDermott, Michael Connelly, Laurie King Misc; Carl Hiaason
Movies: I LOVE old MGM musicals, The Thin Man series from the 30-40s, Anime, Japanese/Hong Kong martial arts films, modern action movies are OK, Tend to rent lots of weird Indie stuff, my favorite movie of all time is Casablanca.

Food: Mexican, Thai, Italian, US "diner" (AKA "comfort food") I am a carnivore and proud of it.
Drink: Wine; type determined by what's for dinner
Colors: I prefer the "cool" color pallette; greens, blues, purples. Also like "Earth" tones; brown, rust, mauve. Absolute favorite color is teal. Really don't care for yellow/orange tones. When in doubt, Black & White always works!
