About Me

I am in a bit of financial oddness at the moment and am finding it difficult to get all of my swaps out. I will be honouring all of them but it might take a short while to get them alll out.

Once I have completed all of the swaps I think that I shall be taking a break from swap-bot for a while as I really need to save some cash

About Me

Well I’ve been knitting for years but have taken long long breaks in between so it feels that I’m starting all over again. I’m amazed at the wonderful range of yarns out there and am really excited about some of my projects – both planned and those started. I don’t have a favourite colour but I have some that I am not so keen on such as browns, beiges, mushrooms and those strange colours that belong to the same family of magnolia! I live slap bang in the middle of England in the most landlocked city that this wonderful little island has to offer – and I love it although I do miss the sea. But since it is only 3 hours from any coast I’m not that hard done by.

Favorite Crafts

I love knitting and that’s about it but I have just started to make my first ragdoll. I’m keen to try other thing though and have a mind to try some felting and see if I can work out crocheting. Weaving sounds cool too but for the moment I just want to develop my knitting skills and love knitting anything from easy peasy hats and scarf to some more complicated sweaters (my fella wants me to knit him an Aran so that’s a good challenge). I love natural wools but there are some great mixes and blends now and I’m just keen to try anything and expend my range of knitting wools. I have recently started on sock knitting so any sock yarns would be great. Not a fan of 100% acrylic but then again who is?

Favorite Books

I’m terrible with reading things – I have manic bursts when all I do is read and them I loose interest and won’t pick up a book for months. Unless it is by Terry Pratchet and then I’ll read the same books over and over again. My two favourite ‘proper’ books are The Time Traveller’s Wife (which I read in a night) and The Bone People (which has fascinated me for years and is still interesting and thought provoking

Favorite Movies

I’ll watch just about anything except for gore horror stuff – I have no interest in things like Saw and those types of film as I think they are a truly nasty form of voyeurism

Favorite Television

I really don’t watch much tv – too busy doing nothing I suppose

Favorite Music

I’ll listen to most things except for rap and hip hop

likes and loves

MMMmmmm – what do I like? Well my fist love is shoes – most types but they should always have some sort of a heel but I have big feet so my second love of vintage 1950s stuff means that I find it nigh on impossible to find shoes from that era. I also like anything retro from the 30s to the 50s stuff in general. My favourite colours are green, purple, a good strong blue, bits of reds and oranges – well I suppose that I’m trying to say I like most colours. Not a fan of browns, pastels or neons though – colour should be joyful.

I have a grand and ever growing collection of ink pens, pencils and writing things as I still write letters by hand as there is something warm and lovely about snuggling down with a written letter.

I love photography and anything related to images so postcards and photographs are cool too.

Food and drink

I like most things - not keen on really sweet, sweeter than sweet things, but like candy, chocolate and other treats. I drink loads of tea at work and will try anything on that front too. Not a great fan of artifically flavoured teas so please try not to send those. Any hot choclates, coffees and new things would always be welcome.

Me

I’ll give just about anything a go and have an open mind on things but trying new things what life is all about so I’m basically up for anything so I’ll try different foods and candy and music and books and, well I’ll try anything. I’m not allergic to anything so that means I’m pretty easy to please but not keen on highly synthetic stuff

Couldn't be better and I have never knitted Jitterbug but I can see it becoming one of my favs! I cannot imagine where you found lavender chocolate!!! Not bad..I have never had it before. Comment: Thank you *SO* much! I love it all . . . and Fortean Times Magazine is the type of magazine I've been looking for for years! I wish I could find it here. I bought a bunch off of eBay, though. I can't peel my eyes away to look at the other magazine (which I know will be great as well . . . I'm such a foodie!). I can't wait to try the teas either. They sound very tasty! :o) I hope the "recharge" and "tranquility" teas can help me out, especially. So much stress. :oP
Response: You are most welcome. The food magazine is my favourite, I get it every month
