hey, hope everything's ok. Since we're the only two that joined, I moved the deadline for our dumber than a box of rocks swap to later and shrunk the package size to a small flat-rate box if that's ok with you. Let me know when you're back on.

funny...I just was banned from a swap because not all of my 3's were explained. They all are, if not in the comments, then the receivers state that there was communication with them...and thanked me for that even though they were late. And two of the swaps were explained in a third's swap's ratings (3 PCs that were late, even though sent out all on the same date...17 out of those 20 made it on time).
Strange, if you're going to be strict about an "explanations" rule, and state that (only 5 out of 10 were explained)...then you should either actually read the ratings and pay attention to them, or ask for the explanations you expect if the ones shown aren't to your taste. Not state "you know what was expected" then vary your expectations. If you want more of an explanation than the actual receivers accepted...then say so from the get go.
Really...if you're up front with expectations then no one has to waste time. And noone has to look forward to a swap that they qualify for, then be told that the "rules" were changed to suit the host with out warning. Really...it's only a few words that you should be setting down in swaps in the first place. "I will accept NO late swaps" Is completely different from "No unexplained swaps". The receiver deserves a detailed explanation...but you should at least mention to the person that if, even though you already know the receiver got an explanation, that you expect to have personal details as well. Chances are the person will spend the time to tell you...but most don't expect to have to submit anything if the swaps all have details or receiver's comments on them already.
