19 November 2019 -- I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers regarding my husband's illness. The monitor was successfully placed in his pulmonary artery. He had to have his medication changed once. For the last 2 weeks the pressures in his heart and lungs have been good. He is on oxygen 24/7 and is doing much better.
15 October 2018 -- Tomorrow, my husband is having a monitor put into his pulmonary artery (artery from the heart to the lung). It will monitor the pressures inside his heart and inside his lungs. It will help control and treat his congestive heart failure. Say a prayer for us.
9 September 2018 -- I want to thank everyone who has been so very understanding under my being ill and being late is sending my ATC. I am now all catch up and everything should be back on schedule. Thank you again.
23 August 2018 -- I wanted to let everyone know that I am not flaking on the ATCs that I have signed up for. I have been ill with for over a week and had to have some surgery done on Monday (8//20/18). I am starting to feel better and and will be working on getting my ATCs out in the next few days.. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you for understanding
I have been married to a wonderful man for 24 years. We do not have any children together, but I am the step-mom to 3 daughters & 1 son. We have 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Our children and grandchildren are spread thru out the US, so we don't get to see them as often as we would like.
After 40 years, I retired from nursing. Working in the medical field was the only work I had ever done. My body was ready to retire from nursing but my heart & soul was not. Body won out.
In May of 2017, I lost my Shih Tzu. Buddy had been a part of my life for 10 years. It was a difficult decision regarding getting another dog. But after much thought, adopted a 2 year old female Shih Tzu named Independence. Indy is blind; she lost her vision about 2 weeks before adopted her from a rescue.
I love the beach and water. I so enjoyed listening to the waves hit the shore and find it so relaxing. I am not a real "lover of the sun", except when on the boat. I prefer cruising on a plantoon then being in a speed boat.

ME ......CRAFTY--- Started scrapbooking in
60's when the books were black and
the pictures were black and white. In the
70's decorated my calendars (aka
planners) which I still do. I use 3 calendars at a time....one at home, one at
my desk and one in my purse. I begin tole
painting in the 80's. In 2000, I began card making. 2016 I tried mixed media and a more formal style of art journaling. In 2017, I started doing ATCs. I also knit and crochet but I prefer paper crafting and painting. I guess I'm what you call a "gypsy" crafter...I don't have a speciality because I like to do different crafts at different times.
My wish list: I would like used postage stamps.
If you don't receive a swap from me, please contact me before you rate me. I am more then happy to resend. Also if I don't receive a swap, I will contact you before rating you.
